On BBC4 tonight at 9pm. Probably the best film about football? If you ignore Escape to Victory Razz

Oh nor did I lol!

I just thought it was a true story that had been jazzed up for effect.

Still Michael Sheen is brilliant as Cloughie, just like he was as Frost. Great actor.

That's what happens when the Chairman authorises a multi million pound refurbishment of the Directors Box and hospitality suite before he builds a proper squad. Suppose it depends on what your priorities are - players or prawn sandwiches - I know what I'd prefer.

Brian Clough - so prophetic.

Even the missus enjoyed it.

I just watched the actual clough/revie interview and the likenesses are uncanny.

Good writer, David Peace. The Red Riding quartet are also well worth reading - though they're pretty grim...best to take in a Disney film between each one.

And Micheal Sheen is a great impersonator/actor - gave good Tony Blair too.

Red riding was by the same author? Didn't read the books but the c4 series was good. Very reminiscent of our friends in the north.

Agree the C4 adaptation was very good....but if you get a chance, read the novels. Very harsh on the senses but excellent
