| More great times at stay and play yesterday. First we played with k-nex (we both made flowers and caterpillars and weird spacey bugs), and then we went outside and built a huge house with the giant outdoor lego. Then she headed for the finger paints, so I made my getaway - I had a clean t-shirt on.
Today I will be mostly trying to do something about this farmer's tan I've acquired. |

| We're looking after a friends one year old for the day so it's a picnic in the park and feeding the ducks.
It was me who suggested it weeks ago when our friend was saying how Friday's were difficult for her to get childcare. Anytime I said, we'll love having Findlay for a day I said.
NOT WHEN THE BLOODY ASHES ARE ON THOUGH! Means having to pay attention to the kids and carefully listening to a quiet radio commentary.
Sunday it's the gig in the park here with a selection of local bands playing all day in the park. The forecast is for 29 or 30 degrees heat so should be great |

| Recently I seem to have used locker number 13 (unlucky for some) every time I've been swimming.
I haven't come to any harm yet. |

| You may have caught a fungal infection from the locker with a seven day incubation period, too early to celebrate yet Peggy. |

| Already thought of that, Iggy. That's why I waited until I'd been using locker number 13 (unlucky for some) for over two weeks. #educatedwankers #havetogetupearlytocatchmeout #smug |

Before posting about my lack of harm, I meant. Had to go to Sainsbury's today. Last time I went, there was a strong smell of poo in the carpark (that's everywhere in the carpark, not just where I was standing). Today, there were no untoward smells. Got double nectar points innit. |

| Won £350 in half an hour at the bookies! Have given Kaz £200 which went down well, put some in Ian's bank account and had my British Open bets for later this week.

| There's a posh Manor House on the outskirts of Lostwithiel (visible from the Golf course and just below Restormel Castle) that had a BIG helicopter parked on the drive yesterday. There were old bill aplenty around the chopper. On the way home we heard on the radio that Charles and Camillla had arrived in Cornwall for a short break. Must have been him I recks. Sadly I got bitten by a horsefly twice and my ankle has ballooned to the point whereby I look like an old woman with water-retention issues. |

| You're just fat. You've been telling us about your quest to dip under 18 stone asap. The ankle probably gave way under the strain |

| Today was the last ever stay and play. Starting next term, the five year old will be doing proper work, instead of lego and colouring and climbing and copying and k'nex and stuff.
I'm finding it quite hard to talk about this.
In fact, it's thrown me so much I've just realised I've eaten three bananas today. |

| And I suppose there won't be many more conversations like this one -
Five year old: SLUGS AND SNAILS [I get them looking out for these - it's a good way of getting them to look where they're putting their feet and thereby avoiding those dog poo moments]
Me: Well we might see some more caterpillars, but I think it's too hot and dry for snugs and snails today
FYO: It's going to rain today
Me: Is it? How do you know that?
FYO: It's in my brain
(It's not my decision where she goes to school, by the way ...) |

| Still using locker number thirteen (unlucky for some). Still haven't come to any harm.
However, I can report that the waterproof plasters available at Lidl (89p for a pack of 30) come off before even one length of the pool has been completed. As if that was unexpected. |

| Been to Sainsbury's today. No smell of poo. Used the voucher I got last time, when my shop would have been 10p cheaper up Asders or Tescos. Got another voucher for next time, as my shop would have been £1.55 cheaper up Asders or Tescos.
In other news, lots of babies will be born today, and tomorrow, and the day after. And every day. |

| Took the motor to the car wash so it's all sparkley now. Negotiations have also now reached an advanced stage with youngest daughter on a price for vacuuming it. I've offered £3, she's holding out for £5. I'm not budging. |
