Good news. My mother broke her leg not her hip. Big difference apparently. She's had a dynamic screw inserted today. The nurse didn't really appreciate my humour though.

Lots of rain was forecasted but never materialized. Went to the farmers market in town. Got trout for tonight with samphire. Never tried it before but they always use it on masterchef.

Bought enough fruit and veg for weeks, much more tasty than supermarket veg.

Also bought Kaz another pair of rocket dogs for her birthday on Saturday, black and yellow daisy patterned.

I don't think it'll cook in there, Iggy - you need an oven (I think).

Not had a lot of time for mundanity of late, but I can report that I bought some cottage cheese down Lidls the other day.

Never done the bittercress. I'll google it and look. And the best area for me to pick wild ransomes around here is along a path where dog walkers go (and their dogs also probably) and horses are ridden. But what the hell.....

Well done Mapps. Pea shoots, chick pea shoots, alphalfa, I've always got some on the go, especially this time of year.
I used to skip dive too, but that's a young man's desire. It somehow doesn't feel so right on when you're getting on a bit, and attracts the wrong sort of attention.
Never tried the samphire, and don't trust my mushroom spotting capabilities either... I have to grow food now to trust it.. Have tried a narrowboat on the Ouse though, down near March on the middle levels. Strange river.
