Mixed for obvious reasons. Seen as a good keeper but not as good as their current number one and two he was dropped before the end of the season for the number two and he played 11 games. - GreenSam wrote:

Yes, his careless actions cost two lives but I don't like the idea of a life for a life. Obviously whatever punishment Luke got in no way relates to what the mother of those kids will feel but I just struggle with the idea but all punishments have to be equivalent. Should he be what, punished for the rest of his days? Of course if you were the family of the victims you'd say yes and fair enough but if you were the father or relative of McCormick you'd want to see him given another chance. That's why we have to look at it in a detached way. I don't see what's to be gained from letting him rot and never fully integrate back into society again. It'll haunt him for the rest of his life too. And this is nothing to do with Forza Verde or anything like that- my views on it have been consistent and will be consistent for any similar cases. We are not a rehab centre we are a professorial football club one of which won a family award recently. Luke has been several second chances in football with Swindon, Truro and Oxford and no doubt will have offers from some clubs in the coming weeks, also he has his freedom from prison earlier than most would have done when given 7 years and goes home everyday to a wife, kid, friends n family. What more does he deserve or warrant! a 5 year contract with Chelsea? he has it good for someone who was convicted of drink driving and causing death to two children by dangerous driving. if he signs fir us it will be for footy reasons im sure but he must never be seen as a hero or used to promote anything. |

| I'm not saying WE'RE a rehab centre, but I believe in a rehab prison system which ipso facto shouldn't for me mean limited employment options. How far does that go re the whole public eye thing? Should he ever show his face again? It all gets too murky for me- that's why I think the best and most detached way is to say you do your time, you serve your debt to society and then you get on with your life. Of course it isn't 'fair' but it's a messy world- it's better than the alternative imo.
'Never be seen as a hero'- yes agree with that but that's a different thing to not re-employing him. I think we've perhaps got slightly crossed wires- yes he has had chances with other clubs but I think that if we're working on the premise that he should be allowed into employment somewhere all I'm saying is that I think it's as well here as anywhere else. |

its NOT worth the hastle. That's the alternative argument to be fair. I personally wouldn't mind it happening but I can see exactly what you mean in as much as that it will cause a LOT of hassle. |

| A few posts on the farm are claiming he's the best keeper in the league IMO we have one of the best goalkeepers in the league and would be better off finding a cheaper/younger alternative. There must be a half decent young prospect out there that could deputise in League 2! |

| We dont need a new keeper! Cole is good enough and a new keeper is the least of our worries at the moment. This will divide the fan-base even further (if that is possible) there are traitors at the center of PAFC doing their absolute best at the moment to ruin this club. |

| Super super Luke Super Luke McCormick. Don't really want to hear that again from Forza Goldfish. If his appearance in an Argyle shirt didnt attract any adulation then maybe he could come back. But we know the some drummer boy or loud mouth FV would be leading the chants for him and encouraging others to do the same. Not for me thanks. |

The first dickhead i hear singing that will be choking on their pastie and bovril snack If we did sign him, I reckon some people will sing it due to the fact people has been writing it on Twitter and Facebook. I for one hope he don't come back and if he did come back I hope people don't sing super Luke |
