Why? Only jesting Damon, I'm more pissed off with some of the other utter crap that has been written on this thread regarding Down Syndrome people and to be frank I find it quite repulsive and I hope the mods act on it! |

I can introduce to one if you like Jock, maybe you could mention that to him. Mention that this guy is enjoying himself? Am I missing something here? I'm pointing out that a downs syndrome kid is being used like a politically correct football to point score at each other and he's loving his life thank you. Sort of puts things into perspective. I am really close to someone with downs syndrome hence why I commented on something that I hadn't been involved in. |

I miss read you Jock, apologies, it's a touchy topic for me. I just find attacking the less fortunate in life quite obscene. I'll chill, but the offer stands to anyone that would like an introduction to some of the loveliest people that I have ever had the fortune to meet, especially those that like to ridicule such people. |

That's not for me to say mate but reading back I was quick to jump the gun and I apologize for that. I do however hope that nobody has "that" avatar! |

Absolutely. I was taking the piss out of the miserable fucks arguing about him while the lad himself is just having a whale of a time. I'll go back to beating hairy at scrabble |

| You see though, I can take it. Some others can't and they tend to be the people who dish it out the most. They don't mind offending people yet don't seem to be too chuffed when the boot is on the other foot. I think it's called living by the sword. | No ones arguing about 'him'. Hairy used the pic a while ago to try and ridicule Punchy. Hairy then got all holier than thou about the (lack of) class in starting this thread. Excuse me for pointing out his utter hypocrisy. That is all. |

I completely agree with that, hairy. And, genuinely, you do it exceedingly well. That doesn't stop your use of a picture of a lad with Down's Syndrome to make a point as being in bad taste. It's interesting where different people draw boundaries...... |

| Boundaries are like pubes knecht - we all have them and most are a bit of a grey area.
I love offending people who dish it out - it's amazing fun to watch them shit bricks.

I'll go back to beating hairy at scrabble Yes I know that mate, it was my mistake for not reading the thread properly. You have a pm. It has reminded me about something though and I'm quick to criticise so I should be as quick to give a pat on the back. When I met Newell, about 3 years ago. I told him about a few comments that were being made on pasoti that were pretty derogatory about less fortunate people and I told him that I was aware of Argyle fans that read pasoti that were less fortunate and that suffered from DS. To his credit, I have never read those comments or phrases on pasoti since! I will also mention that he even managed to have a word for a few to have a match day at Home Park if they wanted it. I'm all for pointing out the errors of "the ways" but it's also important to point out the good things and what Newell done was a good thing. |

| I think the whole thing was summed up by Damon a couple of pages ago. This was the realisation that the whole thread was an "egg on face" waiting to happen when it was revealed that people were not robbing the poor bucket to fly somewhere. That was the inference of the thread or did I miss the meaning somewhere? Turns out that the posters suddenly turned lefty and then try to have a dig at somebody who can afford to do something when they should be doing a Harry Enfield DJ and giving it all to charity. I buy a season ticket and know there are those who cannot afford either that or to attend all home matches let alone away ones. I will however beat myself with barbed wire in future before I place my order as a penance for my wealth. Hope that does it for the champions of poor people. |

As I said just after, nobody was saying that the the flight was being paid from the bucket, but don't let that get in the way from a good shit stir eh. |

| GOB, go back and read the first half dozen posts or so on this thread. It implies that the flying was a freebie and also that it came from the contents of the collection buckets. And that was how it was meant at the outset. However, since being put straight about who was paying that then changed to it should be donated to a worthy cause. Don't now try to make it out to have been something else because it blatantly wasn't. That isn't shit stirring it is pointing out what was obvious and how easily it got shot down. There must be heaps of shit that you can throw at the so called trough feeders without making something out of nothing at all. What's the famous line "nothing to see here so move along" and it applies very nicely to this story that isn't even a story. |
