I saw them some years ago in Warwick Uni. Interesting evening! It certainly challenged the view that folk is all fingers stuck in ears or stuck in the past.

Can I ask if you could just put the band and maybe the title then I can see what it is without waking my missus up with my iPad playing folk music at 12.10 in the morning?

Ah, Mr. Friio a man who understands many things.
Personally I prefer the live version of "Suppers Ready" on Sounds Out.
We could have a long debate on our favourite Genesis tracks. Suppers Ready will always come out top but as for filling the rest of a top 10, mine would probably change every few days. How about these from the top of my head.
1. Suppers Ready 2. Cinema Show 3. Firth of Fifth 4. Blood on the Rooftops 5. One for the Vine 6. Carpet Crawlers 7. Mad Man Moon 8. Stagnation 9. Domino 10. Undertow.
A recommendation for all Genesis fans. Steve Hackett's new album "Genesis Revisited 2" is excellent. Some of the many different vocalists Steve has used take a bit of getting used to but the music is amazing with some subtle changes and additions to some classic Genesis tracks, including an amazing version of Suppers Ready.

All great stuff. Thanks for posting the youtube links. I haven't got the time to wade through youtube. The In The Cage medleys / " and now for some old stuff" medleys were always a highlight of any Genesis tour.
A bloody good antidote after suffering another crap Argyle performance is digging out one of my Genesis dvd's and turning the volume up. With some beer!

Genesis with P Gabriel is for me more enjoyable, tho. I have a soft spot for 'Trick of the Tail'.

I've been listening to Bill Withers, the album Still Bill [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
My iPad still doesn't like doing the links.
