| He's probably not even joking.
I don't get this new 'I love the Demport End' thing from him at all. From GoS and the TV, I get the impression that his fat rotund fukk of a backside is usually parked/wedged in the director's box, usually in a hopeful proximity to someone who he regards as a big-hitter in the land of the Plymouth Argyle owner circles. I'm also sure I remember when he used to proudly boast about wedging it in Block 15 back in the Championship daze too, the Demport being too happy clappy for a retired slug like he.
When I say I don't get it, I mean that I get it, but it is another laughable example of him changing his tuna when confronted by a disapproving fish. |

Argyle murals, let me make it quite clear, the murals are funded by customers of PAFC and PAFC make a profit. No more texts please. How did you all get hold of the great mans number? Now stop it. |

| Barn Park and Popular Side as a child, Devonport as a teenager, Lyndhurst as a Saturday afternoon drunk at the back, Mayflower as a REAL fan that wanted to watch football. Spion Kop sleepers occasionally, great view, when tickets were scarce for big cup games. Only watched 30 minutes of football in my entire life from that awful grandstand, the abandoned Bradford game when it was ninety below zero with a crowd of 25. I assume this mural is going to do a Barbican Lenky ... local faces ? ... it's been done... how corny. More work for Jamesy Spoofman. Jobs for the boys.

| I remember that Bradford match Penz, it was bloody freezing and at least Daniels showed he had a charitable spirit by letting us all up there, I'm not sure Brent has that same instinctive and positive side to his character. |

I followed the same path around the ground through the 60's/70's but didn't get as far as the Mayflower, as I'm not a REAL fan. |

| First game ever was in the Grandstand watching an Argyle Exeter night game. Walked with an Uncle up from town through the park to the ground. Was marvellous and still brings up good feelings.
After that it was always Spion Kop sleepers by the old floodlight pylons. Up the slope into the ground. First view of the pitch was always magical. Turn right at the top. Spot group of my dads friends and settle in for the afternoon.
The season tickets we have are more or less in the same place. Other feelings have changed but still love night games. |

| Did anyone else hear on the Palin in Brazil tv prog, that Brazil's international team's first football match was in Rio in 1914 against Exeter City ? Apparently, Brazil won 2 - 0 and some reports claim that City left the field early because they said it was too hot ! Maybe they should return in two years for the centenary? Nool would be consumed with jealousy .......... 'Geddon Pele ! Got any shirts meansum ? ' ' |

| I once went into the grandstand to watch a reserve match.
Dick Reynolds was coming back from injury. He formed an excellent partnership with Derek Rickard who was yet to feature in the first team.
Now that's a real fan - paying to watch the reserves! |

| Here is one for the Devonport end wall..It would fit in well with how the club feels at the moment. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

How does a mural make the club a profit? Do they charge Japanese tourists to let them take photos of it? |

That's quite telling in itself isn't it. Ian Newell - unless you can invest financially in the club, stop pretending to be a director. You are that little child in the arcade pretending to play Sega Rally and making brum brum noises while the message INSERT COIN flashes on the screen. Funded by customers of PAFC - that's me isn't it? Here's one [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

Now that's a real fan - paying to watch the reserves! I used to attend quite a few reserve matches back when I was a PROPER fan and I enjoyed them as much as the 1st team matches, you got to know REAL people that became REAL friends. Happy days. |

| My first memories are going to reserve matches in the late 50s with my great uncle who had a season ticket in the grandstand. I wasn't allowed to go to first team matches with my grandad in the Devonport until the family had faith that I wouldn't get trampled by the crowds. No danger of that now - sadly. I had one of those rattle thingies that seem to have fallen victim to H&S standards. Happy days. The way things are going the crowd size will soon be matching those of the reserves in those days. |
