| Only one of those has ever been charged of such an offence. And one other has such apparently overwhelming evidence of guilt it may be that he would have been charged today.
If I was one of the others I'd be pissed off with the poster. |

If I was one of the others I'd be pissed off with the poster. It's in the public domain that Bill Wyman had a relationship with Mandy Smith that started when she was 13. He's admitted as much. It's also in the public domain that Pete Townsend accessed paedophile websites, something he too has admitted, with a very peculiar explanation which was, apparently, acceptable to the police. Savile and Glitter we know about. The only person in that picture who may have a case for saying that he shouldn't be associated with exploitation of children is Freddy Starr. And he's hardly got a watertight case. At least the picture didn't include K****** C***** or T** H****, otherwise ATD may have had the full weight of the Tory Party bearing down upon it. |

| It was actually Townsend I was mostly reacting to. He was investigated and no charges were brought. I have no idea about Wyman and whether anything followed from the Mandy Smith mess. Freddie Starr is being investigated.
Because of the job I had I was very involved with children who had been abused and with allegations of abuse.
For lots of reasons, I had far more of an 'anti' reaction to this thread than I did to the Saville jokes.
Each to his own. |
