He has scored 3 goals in 5 games in his first season in professional football.

You haven't seen him play yet make such a damning conclusion. I understand you hate Brent, Fletcher and Pasoti, but there is no need to tar everyone and everything at the club with the same brush.

You call Carl Fletcher CLUELESS, but you are judging a player without seeing him play. Take a look in the mirror.

Freathy having seen the fireman a couple of times, have to say he looks fit for his age and has reasonable ability, but I have doubts re his long term fitness at league level but would not agree "get rid" at this point. Compared to Feeney and Chadwick he looks bloody good, but hey so do I.

This one's got a bit heated!

I think from seeing him twice now that he seems like a good striker for this level. Can clearly take a penalty and is getting in all the right positions to score from open play.

Where I agree that his signing is very questionable is his fitness. Picked up an injury that had him out for the best part of 7 weeks and now something else has happened to him now. He's got the ability to step up to League 2 football but whether he can step up to the intensity of fitness needed is another matter.

At 32 the male human's body is on the decline, and he's asking it to not only defy that decline, but simultaneously improve it to meet the standards of a professional athlete.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him not start many games for us. In fact, we should probably already accept that the best ploy isn't to start him ever, but to bring him on for the last half hour if needed. I'd reckon that Fletch wouldn't sign him again if this was the caveat.
