Anyway I am sure that I don't know the half of it but to suggest it is some kind of underground cell attacking ATD from within is frankly laughable, it was a group of people with a few common bonds meeting for a drink. ATD is set up so that it can't become pasoti, it is certainly not a gateway to power within the club, as any copper would say, "where is the motive?" In fact where the fuc is the crime? I am baffled by half the shit spouted here.
The little bit emblazoned in Bold is exactly the way I take things too, Iggy.
For me, Forums and ATD are my little bit of escapism from Real Life. I've got enough going on 'for real', to wanna get personally involved in forum spats. I look at the shit and hassles people have had on here and other Boards, and just think to myself, "do I want to expose myself to all that kinda shit?"
The short answer is no.
You can still build relationships on forums simply by interacting with the 'screenname', which is what most of us do anyway. I almost made an exception once, but when I was in Wiltshire, Jock decided to migrate to Cornwall.
Que Sera... I've never been to Cornwall in my life I just didn't want you knowing that I lived in the woods, ate squirrel and badger and got my wi-fi connection from the Forestry Commission observation hut. |

There is usually 'history' with personal differences and as you quite rightly point out, there are two sides to every story. Some stand and fight their corner, others run off yelling 'foul!' That's all.
I haven't met any other ATD ers' in person but have chatted to Rickler on skype and tried to do the same with GOB. Maybe you and I should chat on skype sometime, or better still, I'll meet you at Taunton one sunny day, for booze and cricket ?
If we make the date public, we might even get some unexpected guests. Now wouldn't that be fun ?
I did try to get a cricket freak meet set up in the summer but it just kind of came to nothing. I'm always willing to meet up with people in person. It does usually shatter people's illusion of me when they see me in person, but I would love to meet up Tring. It'll be good to be the one with the flattest stomach and most hair for a change Ha ha ! You'll probably drink me under the table too. I'm not the man I was in that department............... but I try hard. And Iggy................ the CTC thing was only relevant for certain individuals at a particular time, when things were happening in the modroom. Those with agendas will of course try to make more out of it than was intended. As I said before, the 'saved' modroom thread would go some way to showing how and why relationships deteriorated and sides taken but that would obviously be far too simple for those who cry 'bully' to allow. |

| My friend Luis is so pissed (he's like Bambi on ice), not seen a state like it since Union St years ago. Everyone else is in their 'Sunday best' and sober. The sun has also come out. A good start to the new year. |

| There are quite a few Viragos here, they all look really small, even the 1100 (?) cc one. Anyway, my other half is away in the UK for a while so today I did some rendering. |

Likewise. The little Tescos near to my flat has closed for refurbishment, so no offer updates to provide at this time. |
