Unbelievably, I'm about to beat JonB and announce a discount he hasn't brought to our attention. Sainsbury's have got 25% off clothes til next Monday. (And you get nectar points innit. Indeed, you can do what I did and use nectar points to pay for the jumper you couldn't really afford but which, with 25% off, was a bit of a bargain innit.)

In other news, the seven year old wasn't feeling very well today and, when we got home from the pictures, had to have a little lie down. There ensued a lovely scene when the four year old got into bed with her and I read them The House at Pooh Corner. They joined in with the tiddley-poms in Pooh's Outdoor Hum.

Just had an email informing me that you can now pay with nectar points innit at Bella Italia, another restaurant I've never heard of, and (wait for it, for this is synchronicity in action ...) Cafe Rouge.

In other news, I forgot to get milk two days in a row. I won't forget today. Hopefully.

Cafe Rouge! I and people I know have had so many problems in two separate branches that I wouldn't eat there again. (Unless I had vouchers....)

Well i had a fun experience this afternoon. Driving back across the Moors from princetown, in the pouring rain, and my windscreen wiper (drivers side) packed up.

Had to stop several times on the way home just to clear the windscreen so I could see to get home.

Does anyone know a decent garage that could sort the problem for me?

Got the milk. Didn't need bananas (got loads the other day - some yellow, some then still green but now ripe. Planning.)

Feeling a bit angry now.

I had that happen to me once, Andy. It was chucking it down! I got a tow to an excellent garage who fixed very quickly. Unfortunately that was in Kidlington, just outside Oxford. I hope tha's of some help, though.

I got caught in the rain today, and it pissed down! Luckily I had my big Parka on so I was ok, except I had been playing around removing the hood and lining and allsorts and when I left home it was sunny so I didn't attach the hood again Sad

Tuesday was Muse at the LG Arena Birmingham, unbelievable gig, surpassed the Royal Albert Hall gig I went to, just because the stage set and light show was utterly amazing.

Just for Knecht who intimated to me that Muse were mundane last night on R2, here's a glimpse of Tuesday night. Worth watching right to the end to see Matt Bellamy in full cry. Oh and he's also married to Kate Hudson Very Happy

Not bad for a lad from Teignmouth!

Jock, I should break this to you gently but that is not a picture of a lad from Teignmouth.

But Muse does belong in the Mundane thread, I give you that.

Whereas THIS most certainly doesn't.

Never disputed that. From the year I was born no less Very Happy

I did prefer Wishing Well though, especially after that was used in the chewing gum ad.

Bleddy Ell that's frightening! I must get a job or something Embarassed

Just for you Knecht, heard this the other day when I was looking at the nominations for the Mercury Music Prize and knew it would go down well with a pint of ballscratcher in a dingy French Cafe.

Nice.

Where do you live?

If you're anywhere near Yelverton, pop in the Saab specialist garage, speak with the owner Chris & tell him I've sent you.....

Somewhat put out by the Sainsburys clothing sale debacle, I can now report that Tesco have Robertsons marmalade at less tha half price - 61p!

Their long term offer on Stella cidre has ended though.

On unrelated related news, the Vouchercodes website / app is still running the Cafe Rouge by one get one for £2.50 deal.

Yeah, well, Starbucks can afford to give things away, seeing how much tax they avoid paying (little bit of politics there).

Aaaaaaaaaanyway ...

There's milk in the fridge and bananas on the side, so all's well with the world. I've got loads of nice stuff to do today, and even more nice stuff to do over the weekend. Including (how exciting) meeting a new small relative for the first time flower

Up and coming young author I heard Razz

Is that your wife in your avatar? I'll be glad to show her a manuscript of my next book. It's a racier version of 50 shades of Grey called "Jock shags fit birds for a month"
