Jon. I'm sure in the world of technogeeks that phrase has some meaning. Here in the world of other kinds of geeks, it just made me snigger like a schoolboy. A n y w a y Today I rediscovered the joys of not having time to finish your breakfast cereal. One, you get hungry earlier than usual. Two, you come home to the joys of a bowlful of gunk to be disposed of. (Note to critics: If you haven't got time to finish eating your cereal, it stands to reason you haven't got time to faff about disposing of the uneaten cereal either. Innit.) (It was muesli, by the way.) |

| What if the muesli has fruit in it?
Fried breakfast! Yeuk! Unless it's before a long day's walking on Dartmoor and you don't get to eat until evening. |

| As a treat I eat 'Curiously Cinnamon' for breakfast & have done so, occasionally, for near 25 years now.
They started life as 'Cinnamon Toast Crunch', then became 'Cinnamon Grahams' before adopting their current name a couple of years back.
I still call them 'Cinnamon Toast Crunch'.

| I've been developing another one of my theories over the last ten days or so. It goes something like this:
If you're thinking of doing something, stop and think about it first. Ask yourself: after I've done this thing, will I ever have to deny that I did it, or try to cover it up, or refuse to answer questions about it? If the answer's 'yes' - or 'don't know' - then the best idea is not to do the thing in the first place.
I've already thought of at least two situations where this theory could have been useful.
(PS Been to Sainsburys today. Got bananas, milk and other food. Nectar points innit.) |

Impulsive acts and words are the truth of how you feel. It may not be the nicest trait, or the most sensible, but it's definitely one I have I've just sat through Dumbo which kept the little un quiet and occupied, but I bleddy hate cartoons. |

| We've got a yellow weather warning for tomorrow for heavy rain with thunder. In other news, our wine looks like we might be able to drink it rather than distill it. Not sure whether to laugh or cry about that. |

Funnily enough, I always used to say to my staff that they should apply the Ev'nin Erald test to any difficult decision they had to make - ie if the 'Erald prints the story, would would people say? That's pretty much what I used to say when I was training managers to recognise harrassment and bullying at work -ie how would people feel if it was in the paper (I didn't say the Erole, since they don't read it up that London). Strange that I posted that yesterday and we got such a good example of it today. Perhaps I should take up palm reading, too. Oh, and Jon - this time of year, cauliflower cheese is a good bet. Kind of healthy comfort food. |

| We can all relax now - I've bought some more bananas. Got them in the Co-op after I'd used the Post Office facility at the back.
Also got some spring rolls for tea. |

| I have loads of milk now. The missus bought semi skimmed by mistake so I've bought whatever the blue cap stuff is called, so we have a fridge full of it and only baby has milk in the house.
So if anyone runs out of semi skimmed milk in the next few days let me know. |

| I hope it was a sternly worded rejection of a job offer from the people who thought asking candidates to tell a joke in the interview was a sound way of finding out if you were the best candidate.
(Unless, of course, it was a job as a comedian. In which case I think Bill Bailey should have got it.) |

| Celine Dion was mentioned on another thread (can't think which one, probably wasn't important) so I Youtubed her. I won't do that again. |
