I'll be off on Brittany Ferries from Pompey tomorrow afternoon, I'll give you a wave! Looking at 20' plus in Biscay should be fun. Have packed a Bass rod, spinning rod and a fly rod with some lovely sand eel patterns I have tied, going to be fishing off the shore in Morocco, don't know what to expect but can't wait.

I think that's the best word you've ever invented - indescibale. Just beautiful. I have an image of you listening to that music whilst wearing a sweater like wot Hairy J is modelling here... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

We all have mental images of what ATD posters look like. I don't mean mental as in feckin deranged. I mean as an image conjured up in one's mind. Seadog ............>? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I am sporting rather a fine beard at the moment as it happens, anyway back on topic my mate caught a Mackerel in Cawsand bay yesterday in a small canoe. He was in the canoe with a rod, not that he caught it in the canoe.

Boat is on the trailer behind the van, all gear loaded, two rods, two pots, around the Yealm, may try a red gill and some feathers for a few early Mackerel, wish me luck!

Mackerel - one of the best fish when fresh but one of the worst when not quite fresh!

They haven't been caught yet, can't get any fresher than that.

4 mackerel, all a good size, one was a proper channel mackerel close to 2 pounds, 1 wrasse about 4lbs, returned, 1 sardine, a load of big launce and I saw Deer on Rame, a puffin and four or five dolphins ( common?) swam all around the boat on their sides checking me out, beautiful.
