| Millbay is gagged with Mackerel, Joeys and decent fish. A fish or three or four per chuck. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] _______________________________________ COYG!

Shore or kayak? Looked at it on maps and fancied it but not sure how to get there without a hike, any roads/parking over there? |

You drive in there opposite the Queens pub in Tamerton Foliot that takes you along the creek road to the old railway station at the end of the road. You can park there and walk through the nature reserve to the actual point although there are spots to fish before you get to the end. The right hand side of the point is very steep and difficult to fish. The creek down Tamerton end is very muddy and shallow I wouldn't fish before you get to the woods. Not had anything of any size but you must get Bass there feeding on crab and suchlike just catching them at the right stage of the tide would be key. As a bhey used to fish it a lot for Flounder in the winter. |

| Cheers ears. I'm told decent sized bass are caught on the north side of the point by the old railway bridge with all the arches, but if as you say it's a steep bank maybe they are going up there in small boats. Will get around to having a wander over there one day. |

We used to call it Shakey bridge it is a known boat mark, never fished it from the bank but you maybe could at high tide. The south side looks Bassy as fook just hitting it at the right time is key I would think. |

| Favourable tides and weather this weekend by the looks so aiming to get out a couple times, may be my last this season, I don't like standing around for 3 hours in the cold so wash down and pack away next week probs. Not done too bad, had plenty of fish over last 6 or so months though sadly nothing of any real size biggest bass weighing in at 3.5lb at a stretch. Tight lines |

Yep me too. If you want the big Bass you need a big bait imo, I don't think I've ever had one much over four pounds on a Lure but I ain't a massive fan of watching a rod tip for hours nowadays and lure fishing is the bollocks for me. Will be out on the river after Salmon tomorrow should have been today but had shite to do and my Covid jab and a bit of man flu means I can't be added which isn't like me. |

| Filed my catch return for salmon and sea trout salmon 0 small seatrout 3. Droughts aren't really good for that job. With the cost of the license those fish cost about thirty quid a pound and I put two of them back. Last season I think it was about 8 seatrout and five Salmon and two on the last day of season.always next year. |

£25 to fish the town water. Only fly fishing for salmon I ever did was years ago on the Spey at Grantown that was in a drought hooked and lost one on the first day and that was that. Beautiful water though. |

| Dropped a Mackerel head on the bottom this afternoon alongside a big tanker, 20lb conger gobbled it. Went like fook on me spinning rod, too big for my drop net and too big for my line. He broke the hook length and swam off. Not sure I fancied wrestling him anyway. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Savage. Best not have that on the boat. Horrible to eat as well. I pulled a crab pot once with a massive conger in it, all covered with weed and it spilled out into our 18' clinker built boat. We tipped it out with the oars thing was barking and snapping. Horrible slimy bastards. |

| Fair few mackerel about a mate had a few in the sound the other day including a 1.5 pounder. Had a chuck off Devils point yesterday but only managed 20 minutes due to the howling freezing wind and rain, twas proper horrible. Got home and a different world all together. May get out Floundering tomorrow. Youngest bhey was walking near Exmouth he said he looked out towards the mussel ropes and there was a shoal of what he thought was Tuna feeding for well over an hour, he said further out in the bay was about 500 common dolphins. Lots of stuff about at the moment including a whale in St Ives Bay. |

| Dusted off the cobwebs earlier for just over an hour, should've gone up the estuary really where I suspect most bass are hiding at the mo, enjoyable nonetheless. |

| Fished the last 2 hours of the incoming tide this morning, no joy, water clarity terrible with all the rain we've had but a nice bit of fresh air nonetheless. |
