Good news.
Let's hope they do not decimate them this time. Cheeky bastards the environment agancy, they just wrote to me as licence buying angler asking me to return all female fish caught and if we as fisherman don't start doing it they will enforce it legally. I think it's seventy one quid for a licence now, I catch 3 fish in a good year and none in a bad one. Since the nets have gone we have up to seven seals at a time in the Tavy all eating salmon, that's why the stocks aren't increasing properly, maybe the net mans presence will deter the seals somewhat, let's hope so, however unlike the seals the netsman aren't allowed to fish at night, can only fish part of the river and have a closed season. I'm pretty sure that most of the Salmon destined for our rivers are netted off western coast of Ireland, don't know if that has been stopped. Nothing like hanging on to a twelve pound salmon in a good bit of water on a small river like the Tavy, proper buzz. In other news I stood on a weever at Whitsands, worst sting I've ever had including hornet! After soaking my foot in piss for half an hour the lifeguard told me its hot water to sort it, the piss is an old wives tale, lol. Went out on a kayak from Polhawn and caught 9 mackerel in a hour, mate went out at about five when it clouded over and filled a bag in thirty minutes, some good sized ones to boot, we were actually fishing in the tide just off Queeners. |

Fecking US special forces. Why don't they just feck off back to their own country and eat their own salmon! _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | Had another couple of schoolies but nothing monstrous. Heard a story yesterday that a good looking woman was around halton Quay on the Tamar the other day, approached two lads fishing, flashes a smile and asked if they'd caught anything? "Couple of bass about two pounds each" was the reply, "right give them here and lets have your names and addresses!" Bleddy cow did them for it! |

| Still loads of white bait in the Barbican/harbour, sadly only small Bass and Pollack feeding on them, oh and a small Gar, not something I've caught in a while. |

| Sorry Salty, I just wondered if there a couple of people on here who didn't hate me yet and thought the shooting might be a good angle of attack to use. |
