highly unlikely that a return to standing will happen soon.
clubs have spent £millions rebuilding grounds are not going to want to spend on refurbishing them.
also it requires an act of parliament to overturn jutsice taylors report (i think)

the visitation is NOT free - SOMEONE somewhere must be paying for it.
it may be free to the trust - i hope my taxes arent going on this waste of time exercise.

it may well be in use in germany but german football is only well attended at top flight level (with the odd exception), even if standing was allowed to return say next season - who would bring it back ?
take argyle for example - would JB pay 50k for the mayflower to get redone to meet safe standing requirements ? he wouldnt spend 50k on a goal scorer...............

the fans would be expected to have yet another (sic) whip round.

I think JB said at the Q&A that championship clubs currently aren't allowed terracing (or have to replace within a certain amount of years). Unless this changes, and the plan is to achieve championship football, then JB isn't interested.

Yet you have chosen to get a season ticket right in the middle of where FV are, you didn't have one there last season, so something obviously made you chose that area for your seat. Obviously you enjoy the so called unimpressive group...

As I said, it's too late for the new grandstand, but it *may* be possible to retrofit elsewhere. It's about choice.

How can it be too late for the new grandstand. Surely we aren't even out of the planning stage yet?
Didn't Brent promise to consult with the fans about the plans?

That's a good point Greenbrum. I think Cobi got caught up in the moment and jumped on the bandwagon there when he really quite likes the flag waving and drum beating cheers
