Pilgrim and Noddy are far too easily pleased! One crumb of comfort is that it costs a little bit more for a ST at Premier League Stoke.

Incidentally, a ST ticket at WBA next season is available for £349, at Wigan for £300, with the best available £350, at Aston Villa for £325 and at Newcastle from £363 and many Premier League clubs have an early bird discount on their season tickets.

Just to put it into perspective I thought I would double check Argyle's prices for a Division 4 Membership, and this is the page on Memberships from the official site:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

So you have to NOT click on Memberships, but click on Season Tickets, and then the link on the right about Membership Packages, just to make it really clear.

Watch out for the 'is not good enough and the club is looking into it' tweet from The Prez - a la after a big crowd turned up last season and the gasboard ballot paper fiasco (or even the rather more strained 'at least we have a club to support and isn't great this is all we've got to complain about' defense)

I have to say I was also not impressed, however there is not a lot to report in the close season.

I also think it a little unfair to blame any individual at the club. For the record I haver not always been a great supporter of Mr Cowdery however since the takeover he has changed, he is a lot more responsive to the needs of supporters and the couple of times I have had to deal with him he has been helpful.

so the club made a minor mistake I am sure we will all move on and greater news will hit ATD in days to come.

I just hope they don't build it up so much next time.

Wow, those prices are incredible. Season tickets for Rennes, my closest football club geographically, start at 149€ (£117), or 8€ (£6.20) per match - this is for top division football. To go and see a season at Caen in the 2nd division, prices start at 120€ (about £100). I think I'll stay put and keep watching football over here!

You should check out Caen and recommend some players to Argo Friio style mate.

Wonder if Argyle have scored a Home park own goal in the Stewart Houston/Paul Ince class? lol!

Thanks for the cricket heads up. Don't underconstumble your last comment. I'm such a knob.

I remember Houston chipping his own keeper from thirty five yards when he was playing for Brentford down here once and Ince heading a corner into his own net for Wolves a few years ago, just wondering if Argyle had committed a just as spectacular PR own goal, thats all.

Shite,Gayle's out. That tends to subtract from the entertainment value.

Puzzling not really just downright poor PR work.El Prez now trotting out the line"Buy a season ticket and we might get that elusive striker for the number 10 shirt".End of last season it was "Stay off the pitch and the club wont be subject to a fine so more money to sign that elusive striker"...Moved the goalposts but its still the same old record.
What do you expect now he is the unofficial spokesperson for the club? Remember when he used to be fighting on behalf of the fans.? Far more suited to that he was.

I agree, far more suited to being just a fan like the rest of us, 'losing face' in Thailand is a massive NO NO , I reckon ' losing face ' today for him has been painful & embarrassing. maybe time to give up the car park space and revert to Mr Webb the fan.

As for the PR disaster this morning, will they never learn, surely it's time for a root and branch clear out of the Communications Dept and some bright, young, University educated media savvy and I.T. specialists to be employed?

To be fair the pres has only been interested in Argyle since he found a way to publicise himself the problems occurred, he still has a lot to learn.

Jock get some sleep mate, you will need to be wide awake tomorrow if it is what I earlier mentioned.

This site may also crash!

I shall be delighted its over at last:)

Some wild imaginations here gents.

The Club has a solid block of communications from now until the start of the season. Really is a mixed bag. On the field, off the field, community, suppliers, fan engagement etc etc. I think today will contain one or two of these plus a relaunch of the membership packages.

I've counted at least 4 or 5 'first time in football' ideas that the Club is unveiling this summer. Exciting times ahead.

So the exciting news is that there's going to be some exciting news!

I think that's very unfair, Thai. The people (I think it's two) who work in that department are such people.

More to the point, I'd lay serious odds that the Did You Know stuff wasn't written by anybody in that department. For starters, no communications professional puts out a three page news release (which is what it is), and besides, the style's all wrong. Compare it with the other bits of 'big news' and you'll see what I mean.
