For information, a mod from pasoti asked for our help in trying to track the prat in question. The mods on here provided what help we could.

It would be good if pasoti publicly acknowledged that help (they may have done so but from the above comments, I think not) rather than allow further digs at ATD to go unchallenged.

I almost agree but, in the end, it was the fact that the auction was for a charitable, deserving cause that swung it.

Thing is though - as I think Gob's saying - when you have a culture where it's considered OK to set up a spoof website to slur people you don't like, where it's considered OK to collect and publish all sorts of private information in case you decide to use it against those people, and where it's considered OK to engage a private detective to gather details about an internet poster's family, and all the rest, then perhaps we shouldn't be so shocked that somebody's behaved like this.

According to Postey it was an ATD moderator that approached the pasoti mod. Can I ask what information is being/been passed over Knecht? - Given the track record of pasoti moderators you'll understand a little discomfort regarding this close contact.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if the whole thing was a concocted hoax but for now I'll take things at face value and say 'GreenAndy1981' is a cock of the highest order. No matter our beliefs and differences about the whole auction thing, Brent not paying his debts etc etc (I'm aware St Lukes are involved here too), the auctions are being held in good faith and shouldn't be open to abuse by anyone.

IJN changed the thread topic title, I wasn't aware normal posters could do this?

A mod was very quick to tell GreenAndy to 'piss off back to his mates', a phrase I've heard not for the 1st time when aimed at different forums. I really couldn't imagine any REAL mates of GreenAndy backing him up over this, it's too shameful.

I hope our mods on ATD are not providing more information than they should.

It was me that contacted Postey as it had been mentioned in the mod log that we had had a former poster who favoured using 1981 in the email addys he has used to sign up with. Under the circumstances I offered to check those IP addresses to see if they matched the one being used by Greenandy1981. They didn't so that was that.

I took the view it was an exceptional circumstance and I anticipated we might get the blame.

I don't think I'll be the only one that will be unhappy about that Charlie and I hope it doesn't open the door for private and confidential information to be passed onto such characters that seem to have a distinct lack of integrity.

So given the relentless shit hurled at ATD by a certain IJN and the recent revelation that Newell knew that a Private Investigator had been hired to track me and my family, by a "friend" of his on a GT's coach, it would be natural for me to believe that EVERYONE on that GT's coach knew of the P.I. being hired, and I suspect that would include you too Postey, so do I assume that you all chipped in to pay for it or was it one of you being ultra generous and paying for the P.I. by themself?
