It's just an age and memory thing, being a 70s teenager I tend to go more for that but there sure was a pile of crap around even then. I give you.....

The 80s had some great music as some have already touched on, for me there were some songs that could stand up against any other decade:
Love will tear us apart Ghost Town (if ever a song captured the mood at the time this was it) Thats Entertainment A New England
Oh and who could forget Shaddap You Face.......

Now is where it's at with maybe half an eye on tomorrow. Yesterday might inform me and define me but it can go to hell. Life's what you make it.
Is there anything more 80s than this?

Everything develops from what went before, though. Take 80s and 90s electronic dance music: it couldn't have happened without something like, say, Magic Fly by Space (issued in 1977) or, of course, Kraftwerk (Autobahn came out in 1974). There were also influences from Stax and Motown, which were at their peak in the 60s and 70s.
You wouldn't have had Stax and Motown without Robert Johnson (1930s) and others. And you wouldn't have had Kraftwerk without Tangerine Dream (and you wouldn't have had them without the impact of WWII on German music, which means I should probably mention Wagner here).
All of which, I believe, gives weight to my thesis that (a) there are only so many tunes and (b) the best song ever is You're a Lady by Peter Skellern.
