Not listening to an album as such - rather selected musings on Youtube......
It must be a mixed blessing to be remembered for one song but if the song is
this one
or, in a later live version (with an interesting interview added)
this one
I'd settle for that....

While doing the ironing this morning, I played Tubular Bells - the original 1973 vinyl with those two little scuffy bits I expect to hear whenever/wherever I hear it.
Later on, if I get round to doing the rest of the ironing (yawn), I might play side 2 of Abbey Road. Saves putting water in the iron, since it always makes me cry.

I've been playing A Farewell To Kings by Rush in the car. #1 son practices his air-guitar moves to the title track, and sings along quite happily to Closer to the Heart. What with that and his developing love of Green Day, UFO and The Clash, I reckon I'm making a decent fist of this parenting malarkey.

I saw Sweet heckled off the stage in Belgium once. In amongst a number of other reasonable bands they stuck out. They were booed, pelted with beer cans - some not empty, jeered & slow-hand clapped. One of my life's proudest moments.

Well we all enjoyed it, nothing over talented, just a good lighthearted laugh with a few memories.
