Nice one
I too am listening to a classic album from the same era, Physical Graffiti - I remember being, Trampled Underfoot, Down By the Seaside, while chasing a Black Country Woman, of course that Custard Pie we shared, made me, Sick Again

Classical album? "Winterreise" by Schubert performed by Ian Bostridge. It's an intriguing contrast to the performance of the same piece by Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau.

Today's classic I'm listening to is a modern classic from 2003
The Living Road, by the late & lamented 'Lhasa del Sela' or simply 'Lhasa' A stunningly beautiful album, from a beautiful woman who was taken from us far too soon

Thanks for all these suggestions guys. I love class acts of virtually any genre but rarely get around to discovering them.

Thought you would have discovered some great Greek or Turkish music/artists by now tring
I know of a few, but wouldn't know how to spell their names, I'll look out the CD's when I get home, and pop them up on here for you
One I do remember I think is Sezen Aksu, think that's the spilling, the Turkish Madonna yep got the spilling rite Her latest 'Optum' is brilliant

ah yes Mrs Paul Stanley (Kiss) Sezen Aksu co wrote that one, Tarkan had the International hit with it, Holly had the UK & USA hit with it, we don't like 'em singin' in their own language, everthing must be sung in English/American, we're so far up our own arses it's unbelievable

I thought Brothers In Arms was their masterpiece. Mind you, I don't think Straits made a poor album.

Rory Gallagher now we are talking, saw him at Colston Hall in 1974 with classic band Rod D'eath, Lou Martin and Gerry McAvoy , truly amazing. A true gentleman would stop and pass the time of day wih anyone, a wonder how he got to his next date!
