New Carlisle United boss John Sheridan has made former Plymouth right-back Gary Miller his first Blues signing.
The 31-year-old today agreed a one-year deal at Brunton Park with the option of a further year.
His arrival ends the long wait for a new addition to the squad, as Sheridan starts the process of rebuilding the United squad.
Glasgow-born Miller made 18 appearances for League One outfit Argyle last season, and 56 over two campaigns at Home Park.
He was released by the Devon club at the end of last season.
Miller's career was previously spent in Scotland with spells at Livingston, Ayr, St Johnstone, Partick Thistle and Ross County.
Sheridan said: "In terms of the kind of person I’m looking to bring to this club he ticks the boxes and I think we’ve done well to get him here.
“He’s a very good, solid player and an excellent professional. I wanted to look for players who have been successful in this league and who know what the division is about."
