Mouldy- the text is moved by highlighting part/ all of it and clicking on the others box (when you are posting). Select horizontal scrolling. Highlight the statement again, click on others and select vertical scrolling and it should move diagonally as below-

Putting pictures into a post depends on where they are sourced from. If its from the internet, right click on the image and select copy URL. When you are posting you should see the small icons and formatting functions. If you move your cursor over each, it will tell you what its for. Select 'image' and then paste the copied URL into the box, then select ok. You should see the image URL with img and /img (in square brackets) , in your post, at either end (at this point select preview to see whether your image is visible).

If the image is from your "My Pictures" files, go back to the small icons above and select "host an image" (picture symbol with a disk in front). Click on choose file and double click on the picture you want from your documents. Select Host It and then copy the statement in the image line (middle one). Paste the statement, then preview and you should see it above. I can't get rid of the Hosting box unless I preview.
