| I too have today moved over from a rival forum , they sort of shot themselves in the foot by talking about this site which im ashamed to say I knew nothing about anyhow my curiosity led me to take a look and imo this is more for me , well I will see anyhow. Im looking forward to plenty of debate and differing opinions and it would be nice if in doing so getting personnal can be avoided something that in recent weeks is becoming rife elsewhere. |

| Welcome, you can say what you think on here, people may disagree but hopefully with respect for your position. Lots of posters will bless the day we don't have to bang on and on about another website. |

| Thanks for the welcome for my 1st controversial statement lol im going to admit being a FLETCH fan and not only hope he stays but think he should be given a rolling contract as reward for what was nothing short of a miracle. From my point of view the players want to play for him, he vastly improved the discipline which im convinced played a part in the improvement in results and he made best use of the resources he had which really accounts for the style of play . anyhow would be interesting to hear what others think??? |

Sort of Pulis Mk2, lets see who he gets rid of and gets in first. But he should be given the opportunity. |

| Dixie Deehan played a role in this but nobody seems to mention that.I'd rather have him than Fletcher in charge. It will be interesting to see if Dixie is retained for next season.

| Hello Mr Happy,
Welcome to the site.
I wasn't keen on Fletch for most of the season, but I'm slowly coming round. I still think he's too negative, but our defence has certainly improved. We need to work on our attacking play (which is quite obvious) if we want to achieve a top half position next season. |

| Attacking midfielders would be nice rather than those who stand on the central defenders toes,oh and full backs that overlap, and wingers that can get to the byeline and put in some decent crosses, and if you can manage it a couple of decent strikers who know where the back of the net is rather than the back of the stand.I know I'm reaching for the stars but hey ho. |

| Welcome along happy hope you enjoy the ride .
I must admit I was not one of fletchers greatest fans but he has achieved what he was appointed to do. I give him until October if we are not near the play offs then its time for a change. |

| Most of the people who post on here are wrong about most things but some of us get things right. Fletcher is bound to get the chance for next season so the point is mute really. Think he deserves a shot at it with a proper start to the season. Many people have posted on various sites asking what Deehan actually does. Given the concensus was that it was very little he is hardly likely to get any credit from outside the Club now. |

| The thing i've noticed here is that a lot of people have short memories, and there are a few not all that seem to think we have some divine right to be in the championship, i have also noticed a few agendas but then i suppose that goes with it being an internet forum, can't say i've seen a lot thats progressive or different to that other forum everyone is so happy to slag off, although i haven't seen any posts disappear but i'm sure it will come with time its the nature of the beast after all. Until that time enjoy........or moan. |

| I keep changing my mind. Im so glad we stayed up and have been tryin ti work out if it was Fletcher or deehan or the players or whatever who kept us up. It's obviously a combination of those things but it's a case of how much each wad responsible for. For now it doesn't matter, but at some point it will, when things are going wrong.
I don't mind Fletcher staying ad long as he shows at least a modicum of attacking intent. |

Nobody has stated or thinks that Argyle have a divine right to be in the championship. The experience of bigger clubs such as Sheffield Wednesday,Sheffield United,Man City etc in spending time in the lower divisions would immediately negate that argument. What most of us think is that, with the right financial backing and ambition, there is absolutely no reason why Argyle should not progress to the point where periods in the lower divisions should be minimal,a la Norwich,Southampton etc. No divine right though,if indeed sch a thing exists. And what are the short memories that you speak of? Many on this forum have very long memories, dating back to the 1950's in fact. |

| Greenskin...you state "with the right financial backing".Now it was my understanding that the club had to stand on its own two feet, and that it would have to survive purely on income from gate receipts and dare I say it, transfer income on any future player salesI.e. there would be no additional investment from either James Brent or any of the other directors.Bearing in mind that the first 3000 fans through the turnstiles money will be used to pay off current debts,we are going to be an average fish and not a big fish in a small pond, are we not? |

| Welcome Happy Pilgrim to a website where other teams fans are not referred to as scum, simply for following a team in a higher division (well for one more week at least).
There are good people here. |

| Where do you get the 3000 figure from Oddball? I thought that it was somewhere in the region of £600k per annum required to pay the debts which would be less than 2000 if you average out at £15 a ticket times 23 matches. It is however true that part of the gate money is going to go in that direction so we have to average higher gates than a lot of them if we are going to be anything like a medium fish. |

| SG,it was a figure that I've seen mentioned on one or two threads.James Brent I think it was also mentioned that Argyle currently need 7500 through the turnstiles to break even, and that current attendances weren't high enough so that the club was continuing to lose money.I'm hoping to go to the ATD Q&A if its still on so I will ask James Brent for clarification. |

| That may have been this season but we are due to shed a large chunk of wages so I suspect next season the numbers required to break even would be less but I would like to see the figures confirmed. Taking tax into account you would need around 1000 for Damien Johnson alone. |

| BB67, perhaps you should look a little closer at this site.
As far as I can tell, this site is the only site that has an Ian Newell appreciation thread. I notice you are yet to post on that.
