So, 24 hours after the story broke the only action Pasoti have taken is to ban Greenblood79 for 24 hours for providing a link to the Newell Files?

I take it then that its ok for a Pasoti mod to file and publish hundreds of PMs and personal information about posters? Does this mean that they all do it?

What else have they ALL been up to? They ALL agreed that "Deep Throat" was a good idea. They ALL seem to think that Newell has done no wrong again.

They probably do Frank but have the brainpower to know any sensitive stuff needs protecting from viewing by the hoi polloi. The only interesting read on that site would be the mods private board, after all it's known to seeth with mutiny and revolution. But, once again, not to be viewed by the plebs.

The fact there's been no outcry about the emails Newell sent about the ATD Q&A session speaks volumes for me.

I have just returned home from a visit to a solicitor and was about to post this over there but found the thread locked: there have been suggestions that someone from ATD created the blog that exposed Mr Newell's publicly available flickr site. There is no evidence that anyone from ATD has done so. Indeed, I know of two or three other people (two of which have been banned from both ATD & pasoti) who have made aggressive comments including having threatened to "bring everything down". One such comment was made in the light of the Deep Throat fiasco. I certainly think that ATD goes over the top in its pasoti-fixation but to assume that it was ATD created is ridiculous. In addition, even if a poster on ATD did such a thing, in my view they have provided a public service by asking the question that the flickr site begged.

As for Mr Newell's contribution to saving the club - I once had a close friend (and boss) who was sent to prison for a particularly nasty and premeditated offence. I was extremely shocked and upset. This was a man I trusted and who had, in so many other ways, done so much good. The most helpful thing someone said to me was that just because what he has done is despicable it doesn't take away from all that he has done that was good. Newell, unquestionably, has done lots of good things. He also seems to have friends who say that his unpleasant on-line persona doesn't match him in real life. Because he has seriously screwed up on this (and by all accounts apparently his previous for internet actions has also been .... questionable) it shouldn't take away from his achievements. I hope his friends and those leaping to his defence take that from this sordid affair.

I now hope he steps back.

What a joke Pasoti is, Anything thats said that doesnt praise Fletch, The mods or the fanfests is deleted!

Believe me, there's been more than enough olive branches handed to Newell and his friends and, he accepts them with gratitude whilst plotting to stab you in the back.

Remember the "truce" not so long ago, and whilst that truce was in operation what was Newell doing? He was again collecting information to once again thrust that knife into the back!

i really think that the club,the trust and the green taverners need to distance themselves from newell and webb i wont use the title president because his actions and behaviour are not fitting of the title, if they had a pair of bollox they should admit what they have done and dissepear into the night.

Knecht's post on the pasoti admin board still hasn't been answered (been on there an hour) despite 4 -5 Mods (including Newell) being on duty. When Windsor Boy and Deep Throat posted bullshit about the trust, on pasoti's trust forum, the pasoti mods demanded answers within an hour.

Notwithstanding everything else it's the hacking incident that I find most worrisome and it's hardly been mentioned on Pasoti. If that incident is true then anyone's published email address including those published in Pasoti profiles are open to abuse.

Imagine someone who has a REAL mate at their beck and call no questions asked to undertake such an endeavour.

There was, as far as I could see, no denial that that particular incident had taken place.

Greenblood79 asked about the phone hacking on Newell's Flickr thread, but the pasoti mods promptly deleted the post, moved the thread to terraces and locked it

It was pretty nasty stuff and a good move by admin as there was a phone number on there as well as terrible accusations.

Didn't look at the date but one thing I find interesting is on his twitter Ian Newell replies "I don't know who you are pal, now blocked".....yet if you look at the twitter account that posted the link to Newell it has 4 followers, and 1 of them is Mr Newell!! Surely you don't follow someone you don't know and have blocked do you??

Those screenshots are from Dane bunney being a cnut as usual. The other person was referring to him having racist stuff on his twatter feed like asking Amir Khan if he wanks in mosques, and the hashtag was something like fuckoffbacktopakistan. He also had friends talking about raping a 13 yr old girl and filming it. The usual charming stuff from bunney.

His new favourite insult is telling people to do a Gary speed.

He's distraught right now about man utd fuckin it up, so he tweets insults to man city players. Very nice behaviour from a father of two children. Oh and of course he's going to bring the trust down apparently, and he's good buddies with Ian Newell and Chris Webb. Need I say more?

Well a truly remarkable day today. 38 new members to the site in one day. It must be a record!
