Phillips, who has been labelled a ‘wonderkid’, spent the second half of last season on loan at Championship outfit Plymouth Argyle, where he flourished. He started virtually every game for The Pilgrims and was pivotal in their fight to stay up,

It would be too bad to utilise him as 4th choice CB.

I'd like to see him as the fourth CB this year. Unless of course the club think his development is best served with a loan in the Championship/lower Prem club.

CB but the ones that are suitable for Ange's style of football are rare

I watched about 6 Plymouth games last season and Phillips was regularly the standout player. Let’s hope he gets his chance
