The Bridge really is very, very good. British telly could learn from the Scandiwegians - make less, but better.

Sunny today, at least for now. Woke up with a smile on my face thanks to the crazy blackbird. Snooker final starts later. Cauliflower cheese for tea. My world is complete.

And happy birthday Knecht flower

Despite the weather forecast, it's sunny again today. The crazy blackbird's a bit subdued, though - maybe because it was raining earlier. Bless.

My wish for the day is that Ronnie finishes the job early, as there's a Jason Statham film on at 9.

Not watching the Jason Statham film after all. I was meant to be starting work at 12.30 tomorrow, but I found out at about 5.30 today that I'm now doing 8am to 7pm, so I need to get to bed really early. About ten, ideally.

Oh.

I've decided that being 60 is the same as being 59. Hospital in the early hours again but released by lunch-time. :{ It's almost getting mundane!

And thanks for your birthday wishes - especially Cerb's. (Or did he mean 1935?)

Found that life is not so much fun after 65, bits stop functioning, leak or drop off.

Yesterday, the swallows, swifts and martins were all flying at low levels. It rained most of the day.

Arriving home from my 11.5 hour shift (thank goodness this isn't a permanent job) I was greeted by my crazy blackbird. Giving it some extra welly before bedtime, he was.

Getting very attached to that blackbird, I am.

Found another dead mouse in the back garden yesterday (caught by the ginger cat). Surprisingly it was in tact, as the Jack Russells usually pull the heads off (in a tug of war/ mouse).

Wife off to Ireland today until Monday for her brother's (can't stand him, would rather have unprotected sex with an Exeter City fan behind the Big Bank) wedding. So just me and Joe having a lads weekend.

And the footy has all finished! Cleaning out the tropical fish on Saturday, followed by a curry.

Having to stay in all day to wait for the new washing machine andfridge freezer to arrive, because obviously the shop less than a mile away can't tell me what time roughly they're going to deliver!

Morning at the doctor's, the supermarket, the solicitor's, my mother's nursing home. Recovering with a beer.

The only non-stressful or mundane part of the day was to read the recent posts on pasoti's Trust thread. It's the likes of hairyJ, Thaigreen and Stephen,s dad that make me feel hopeful about the world. sunny

My step daughter keeps buying films off Sky on a whim (pin code now changed). So I've just watched Warhouse before it expires. Not bad but I'm a soppy old soul.

Nothing broken here (or nothing new, anyway). Nothing to be delivered. No fish to clean out. Nothing much happening at all, really.

Apart from the crazy blackbird, of course sunny

Went into the City Centre today (prefer to go in on a weekday before all the a-holes go in at the weekend). Needed a jimmy riddle and went to the sundial bogs- 20p to take a leak! Tube like pay entrance system, but the facilities are much improved.

If you are taken short and don't have change I'd recommend the Sun Dial moat.

I went in town today. And yesterday, and the day before. Only because I'm being paid to, mind.

Dingles and Debenhams have got free toilets. (Experience of being in town with a small child in tow.)

What mode of transport do you employ?

It's when you qualify for a free TV licence that you are properly rocking!
