im not sure £500,000 is in the Argyle price range just yet lol? With the sort of support we get these days im hoping we can make a serious offer to keep him, he's the quality we need. |

| He's worth every penny from what I've seen. The club are making some serious money at the mo with high attendances, very busy merchandise sales etc, 500k shouldn't be beyond our means for a top player like Broom. |

| Seriously doubt we would/could pay that. Think he'll probably go elsewhere. |

This. Freebies are fine in the lower leagues but if we have any ambition to go higher than we are now we need Broom, we bought Walton for the same over a decade ago Shorely we can afford a fee like that now? |

| I'm sure as with Cooper, if Lowe went to Hallett and asked for the money in this exceptional circumstance where we could sell him for 1/2 million down the road he would say yes.

| Hallett will not pay that under his current sustainable model, and everyone is assuming Broom would like to stay at Argo, after a successful season with us he may want a different 'bigger' club if he goes back on loan with the Posh. |

| Tweet doesn't say the fee would be half a million.
Any possible fee would have been discussed at the time the guy was signed on loan.
Anyway if Broom is worth half a million, Mayor must be worth a few quid (literally a few quid) |

| Broom will be entering the final year of his Contract with Posh at the end of this season. Last season he went out on loan from February so clearly doesn't fit the bill at Peterborough.
I think there's one too many noughts being quoted.

Once again... You are so very wrong. Sorry. I wasn't aware that you conducted transfer negotiations on behalf on PAFC or Peterborough Utd. I expect you were also involved in the deal to get Gerrard to Villa, and are, at this moment, tying up the deal to get Dean Smith to Norwich. |

| Simple and obvious solution offload Mayor for a fee this January whilst he's still got contract for 1.5 years left because there are enough mug managers out there that still think he's a great player
Christ look how many he continues to mug off on ATD |

| Be stupid to sell Mayor and not try to sign Broom either.
We don't have a massive squad as it is and we need strength and depth if we're ever gonna make it to the championship. |

| Broom I'm sure would come at a price and not a knocked down one that we got for G.Cooper after bartering but i am confident that Hallet would pay the price if its in our best interests long term and i dont think it would be £500,000 at the end of the day. If we are to go for it and aim for promotion this season and if not definitely secure next season we need marquee players like Broom and Mayor in order to do it.
I just hope there isnt a recall clause in the loan deal that allows another team to sign him in january. |

Is it any more ridiculous than the regular "Plymouth, Portsmouth and Peterborough are all in the chase to sign highly rated footballer (insert name here)..... Usually followed a week later that said player has signed for Portsmouth or Peterborough? |

| Goes without saying that we should get Broom on a permanent basis if possible, presumably the £500k mentioned is a starting point for negotiation.
There may be funds available, who knows, but I wonder if a cup run could provide the money to seal the deal.
It also goes without saying that we need to keep Mayor, who is quality at this level. Cooper too, before anyone says otherwise. |

| Wasn't Cooper touted to us for 500k and we got him for 100k. |

| How much profit did we make last season? We must be on course to make a lot more this season and if we are serious about being a CCC club we have come as far as we can taking gambles on injury plagued players for fook all. We've paid fees in the past we will need to do so in the future. |

| Hopefully argo have moved on from the days of signing left over left overs, and reward the loyal fanbase by signing quality players like Broome. |
