PostSubject: Ryan Broom on the move   Ryan Broom on the move EmptyThu Jan 06, 2022 11:56 am

It appears his time could be ending soon here as Peterborough are entertaining offers to sell him during this window. I guess they did put a clause in the agreement that he could be sold during his loan period here.

Shame but would good ole Uncle Si be tempted to break the bank to sign him on a perm? or is preston to much of a garden of eden Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

We know what they are like for stirring after the Cooper deal.

But I don't see why people got too attached if he's leaving now.

Was never our player and was gonna leave anyway.

Not sure he's worth half a million, which their chairman touted few months back.

Very wery about huge fees after what's his face McLean and Walton

Argo clearly not a hope in hell of being able to pay the going rate for player like that.  We'll always be L1/L2

I would be supprised if he goes anywhere for £500,000 i dont think hes worth that tbh. Good player hope we at least try without being fleeced to sign him but if we cant we move on and not get hung up over it.

From looks of it he was second choice when we couldn't get Lewis and lets not forget Cooper can play there.

Camara Mayor Cooper
midfield 3 sounds tasty to me,

Don't believe everything you read. It could just be a ploy to get PAFC to put in an offer. And the player might not fancy going elsewhere anyway.

If he goes it will be a real kick in the nuts as he is one of the best players at Argyle at the moment.

I agree there is truth in what you say, Peterborough clearly want to raise money for their own transfer business and generating interest in Broom to attract bids and a bid from us.

I actually think he may be off. I can't see us spending mega money on a 27 year old who lets face it hasn't been a regular starter since Mayor regained fitness. Randall did a perfectly good there against Birmingham and we've got this new lad who we've had eyes on for over a year.

He's a very good player but there is better value to be had out there.

So if Schuey says he wants him do you think for once we'll actually pay the asking price, or do our usual offer 1/10th and a box of Ivors?

No need to put a bid in until another team have. If we match that bid, he is ours. I do not think another team will put in a bid not to Peterborough liking

Exactly that. Fry's comments smack of desperation. He's not going back there unless they are going to sell him.

We've other options there now, can take him or leave him.

Schumacher said: "Ryan is a Plymouth Argyle player, right now on loan until the end of the season. If things change and Peterborough receive a bid that they accept, we have to assess that then and move when we feel will be the right time.

"Right now, the situation has not changed and my stance is the same as it was last Thursday."

He added: "Ryan Broom is a good player and we would love to sign him. Whether we are forced into doing something between now and the end of the window, we will have to assess it and judge it - if and when that happens.

"At the moment the player is happy with the situation. He understands where we are at, he's loving his time here and he wants to stay so, for now, that's good enough for me."
