Will George Cooper be fit for the start of 2021/22 season

George Cooper faces a race against time to be fit for the start of Plymouth Argyle’s 2021/22 League One campaign.

The 24-year-old is working his way along the road to recovery from a knee operation in January.

Cooper has not played a game for the Pilgrims since December.

Ryan Lowe is hopeful Cooper will be fit for selection by the time of the trip to South Yorkshire.

Cooper is back among the rest of the Argyle squad, who started their pre-season on Wednesday.

Lowe said: “He has got another six weeks to get fully fit. The medical team will be pushing him right through.

no he wont cause it can take up to a full year to be fully recovered from that kind of surgery and get back to the level of fitness you once were at and beyond.

So we can forget him until christmas

I thought RL had already said Cooper wouldn't be available for the first couple of months of the season?

Two teams in league 1 in South Yorkshire. , Rotherham 7th Aug or Doncaster 25th Sept.

He'll be back in full training before that but it will take time to build up his fitness so for him to be back to how he was christmas would be my guess.
