I asked virtually that question on a political forum Frost was apparently "co-opted" onto the Cabinet and as such is "required" to be available for questioning |

| AstraZeneca victory! EU hit by humiliating vaccine court defeat - had NO priority for jabs but still says they won
BRUSSELS has lost out in its court battle with AstraZeneca over the supply of coronavirus vaccines.
The Anglo-Swedish drugs giant celebrated its victory after a Brussels-based court dismissed the European Commission’s complaints against the firm. Judges ruled that the EU has no exclusive right or priority over any jabs manufactured by the firm. The EU launched legal action against AstraZeneca because it felt the company was using factories on the Continent to supply the British vaccine drive.
Brussels was demanding that the business ship 120 million vaccine doses to member states by the end of the month.
But the judge, from the Court of First Instance in Brussels, ordered delivery of just 80.2 million by the end of September.
To date, the company has supplied more than 70 million jabs to EU member states and is expecting to smash the court-ordered target.
Jeffrey Pott, General Counsel, said: “We are pleased with the Court’s order.
"AstraZeneca has fully complied with its agreement with the European Commission and we will continue to focus on the urgent task of supplying an effective vaccine, which we are delivering at no profit to help protect people in Europe and around the world from the deadliest pandemic in a generation.”
The court back the firms argument for not hitting the targets apparently set out in its contract with the bloc.
Its judgement acknowledged the difficulties and manufacturing hiccups experienced by AstraZeneca during the unprecedented situation.
Despite the apparent defeat, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen hailed the ruling as good news.
She said: “This decision confirms the position of the Commission: AstraZeneca did not live up to the commitments it made in the contract. It is good to see that an independent judge confirms this.
“This shows that our European vaccination campaign not only delivers for our citizens day by day. It also demonstrates, that it was founded on a sound legal basis.”
The EU was demanding billions in damaging for AstraZeneca failing to hit its vaccine delivery targets.
Lawyers for the bloc accused the firm of not respecting its contract.
But the Court insisted the drugs giant had stuck to its end of the bargain.
AstraZeneca has said it is now committed to working with the Commission and member states to further ramp up vaccine supplies to the bloc.
In a statement, it said: “The Company continues to engage with governments, international organisations and collaborators around the world to ensure broad and equitable access to this well-tolerated and effective vaccine at no profit during the pandemic period.” |

| AstraZeneca should make sure they only supply the 80.2 million jabs they have been told to. Then start negotiations on a new contract to supply anymore and put the eu at the back of the line for supplies after everyone else for their trashing of the company and its vaccine.
I would also look at closing the factories in the eu that have stopped deliveries of jabs like the Italian one and move them elsewhere, not necessarily to the UK but it wouldn't harm us if they did. The first thing AstraZenica should do once it has full filled the eu contract is supply the Australians with their vaccine that was stolen from them by brussels. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! Weird innit. The damage that dear ol 'tweeza did-how the feck did that incompetent buffoon ever become pm?. About time Johnson told 'em where to stick their protocol and made it clear that NI is part of the UK until democratic processes indicate otherwise. But then the phrase "democratic process" probably wouldn't cut much ice with the EU. Nor with quite a few people on this site either apparently. Really does make you want to say just shut the feck up and get on with it but decorum and politeness must be taken into account,'tis the British way after all. |

I love the way that she lists "democracy" as something that has been trashed yet it is democracy that has brought us Brexit, the main problem with Brexit is that a minority in the UK won't accept the democratic process. Hypocrisy of the highest order. |

You may have heard of the "Pals Battalions" (worth googling) from the First World War where local recruiting drives allowed friends, neighbours and colleagues to serve side-by-side at the front. Imagine there being such a thing as a ATD Battalion?? On going over the top, Methinks I'd spend much of my time looking behind me. |

The Tories have been in charge for a good few years now, if it was that easy to tell the EU to stick it why have they not done so? We are out of Europe now and flourishing, the will of the people is being done. I am sorry if taking the piss out of Boris upsets you but he, and of course Frosty, negotiated a deal, oven ready, which prevents us from sending a sausage across the Irish Sea, we have EU border stations in Scotland to enforce it too. So now it's not Boris' fault but Theresa May's? _______________________________________ COYG!

So now it's not Boris' fault but Theresa May's? Doesn't upset me Doggers-in fact even though May the reluctant remainer and her acolytes like Ollie Robbins negotiated the original withdrawal agreement which included the Irish backstop, 'tis much to Johnsons discredit that the outcome as it stands was ever deemed to be acceptable in the renegotiated version. |

| 5 years ago today the most brutal assault backed by a horrendous catalogue of lies from the elite was perpetrated on the British people
Whilst I dont know anyone who doesn't agree its been an utter disaster I wonder what the percentage vote would be if it was re run next week
90% in favour of remain or even higher ?? Probably 95% in all reality
Just awful and of course I voted for it (albeit on the back of the charlatans lies)
Desperate desperate times with industries destroyed

| We had a second referendum in the last election and the result was the anilhilation of the Jo Swanson who was backing a second vote, huge swathes of Labour defecting to the Tories because they all wanted to get Brexit done. The fact that you only surround yourself with and talk to are in the vocal minority does not mean there isn't another side to the story it just means you refuse to listen to it and makes your opinions unworthy of the space they take up. I dont regret voting for Brexit one bit infact I know no one other than youself that have changed their minds so STFU you bitter fool. |

| Blah blah blah.
All you have in your life is to come on here with your made up facts and spout your FB and Twitter lies and hate. I am not surprised at this knowing of your FB/Twitter accounts of old and the homophobic and racist posts you made. Then there was the hate posts for 2 or 3 people and their families in particular which bordered on obsession. The fact that they seem to have taken a step back in the last couple of years would explain posts you make about Brexit, Johnson and his family. New targets to obsess about.
You have obsessed about pasoti and ATD when you weren’t allowed membership and desperately made multiple attempts to join and every time you was banned you tried again and again and again. I have lost count of the number of emails and abuse reports you sent telling us we ( and pasoti) would be closed down and the mods hauled up in front of the judge or being sued for something you didn’t like. All the work of someone who has no grasp on reality.
I for one don’t give a feck what you think about me or my beliefs.
I also don’t regret voting to leave. Most of the problems we have had with Brexit have been the eu causing problems on exports, imports and Brits living over there. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! Fits in with my own experience of peoples views on Brexit. Haven't come across a single person [well, apart from one] who has expressed regret about voting to leave and indeed there are a few remainers of my acquaintance who have been utterly despairing of the behaviour of the EU both in their squalid tactics during the withdrawal negotiations and in some of the spiteful and vindictive actions taken since, the latest of which appears to be to limit the amount of British produced material on EU media outlets. Wretched organisation, huge mistake to join it in the first place and one which would never have happened had the British people been told the truth of what really was on the agenda. They can go and feck themselves as far as i'm concerned, preferably with a spiked dildo. |
