And It wont till the virus stops mutating to the point its a mere flu so harve better understand that despite vaccines the virus can still change like with the indian variant and give cause for concern. Thats not the fault of Boris though thats just how viruses work. I still believe we will have a lockdown of sorts near the end of the year when the weather starts getting colder and it becomes a breeding ground for flu and colds.

Why not slap Bradford and co with a tier four restriction and say stay put until its under control? Trouble is that would be unfair so we will wait until its everywhere again and expect us all to lockdown.

i read that local lockdowns could still be used for such an event but with government and its supports in the media hyping up the end of lockdowns like its the end of ww2 when the war isnt won yet despite the vacccines there is going to be uproar and more protests if they get enforced once.

Turns out that unlike the UK, Europe bowed to 'progressive' pressure and vaccinated public sector workers before the more vulnerable elderly, with Italy and yesterday Poland joining those countries with a worse death rate than the UK one can see the folly of this left wing thinking.

People going into hospital up north aged between 35-65 and unvaccinated.

We only have to look at what is happening in India itself to see how bad the variant is. The Indian variant and the South  African variant now detected in London by all accounts.

With many still not vaccinated yet - for whatever reason -  , testing times ahead me thinks.

Local news was reporting a surge in Plymouth but the lady they were asking about it said the spike in cases could be down to increased testing showing up more cases although there is no uplift in the amount of people in hospital. So far I have seen nothing to suggest that the Indian Variant is resistant to vaccine and as Village says up north it's unvaccinated people getting sick, that is their choice now.

Not specifically that I've heard of, what I have heard is that the spike in the new variant is among certain Aisian populations that haven't been vaccinated and also it's younger people within that group they are trying to vaccinate now. They should be looking at locking down these areas not restricting our freedoms down here when we have done what's necessary to get to where we are.
Let's not forget the SW could have avoided the last lockdown if we had fooked everybody off at Christmas.
