| Thank fook we are out of the EU or else we would have to follow their procurement rules. The EU has finally decided to try a joined up approach yet only in buying the vaccine yet many EU states are already complaining they don't have enough vaccine, they can't buy any themselves as this would break the strict EU rules and red tape. We are way ahead of any of them in the vacc race. |

| Quite right Ears. Yes there will be problems but people need to stop crying over the vote result and get behind the country. Some remainers really are showing that they need to grow up. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! We are way ahead of any of them in the vacc race. Most EU countries are experiencing exactly the same issues as we are re lockdowns, Ppe, vaccines, protests, mass unemployment, hospital problems etc etc - the info is there to be had, yet the UK hating BBC and other insidious MSM outlets choose not to highlight this in order to constantly bash the UK government, who, yes, have fecked up quite a bit in this unprecedented event, but are now racing ahead in sorting this utter shit situation out. I did laugh at a Guardian story the other day about chaos starting in Dover re hauliers, which was totally debunked when they admitted using pictures from a recent operation stack. This is what joe bloggs is up against - mass misinformation to outrage us peasants. BELIEVE NOTHING - QUESTION EVERYTHING- TRUST NO ONE |

| Anybody else re watch the Devon and Cornwall fishing program this week? Filmed before Brexit it's a real fly on the wall doc about real people. All the fishermen were worried they'd be sold out at the last minute, which has pretty well happened. Last nights program was a real insight into why ordinary working people voted out, following the new ex navy Harbour master around he suddenly announced he was applying for a £6.5m EU grant to redesign parts of the harbour yet despite working on his plan for nine months hadn't shown it to one single boat owner, fisherman, processer or worker. They all said it was a load of bollocks and actually had a plan already passed by planners that they wanted to go for instead. The harbourmaster said "there is no plan B it's my plan or no plan" in true Brent type fashion. He actually had the gall to say that if you involve the fishermen it would just make things difficult and anyway it was "his" harbour and he wasn't there to win any popularity contests. In the end he didn't get his bid and blamed those pesky fishermen for insisting they need to park their vans where he had planned to build industrial units to rent out. What was really surprising is that despite being the biggest port in Cornwall loads of boats decide to land their fish in Plymouth because the have a digital auction. People are so tied up with red tape, managed by wankers like the Navy guy who knows feck all about fishing or man management and working in simply outdated markets which have cost millions in EU funding to keep loads of people in the dark ages. Is it any wonder they voted out? |

| Guardian - Dutch government faces collapse over child benefits scandal Coalition at risk amid fallout from tax authorities wrongly ‘hunting down’ thousands of families.
The Dutch government will decide on Friday whether to step down over an escalating scandal in which tax officials wrongly accused thousands of parents of fraud, plunging many families into debt by ordering them to repay childcare allowances.
The opposition Labour party leader, Lodewijk Asscher, who was social affairs minister in the previous government, resigned over the affair on Thursday, denying he knew the tax authority was “wrongly hunting down thousands of families” but conceding a failing system had “made the government an enemy of its people”.
An 'enemy of the people' Oh dear, expect Piers to be all over this on Twitter. |

| My BIL works for border force and is a rabid Remainer made me laugh last night he was ranting about Brexit and queues at the port and as he went on, and on, and on he let slip that the problem is that half the lorries don't have to right paperwork, he said loads of people are trying to wing it and they aren't even getting out of the UK. Doing the "deal" at the very last minute is a feckin nightmare, we should have had September as the end of the line for negotiations and no one would have had any excuse to moan. |
