The obvious one was I think was raised by Lord Melbury who caught you out red handed for which you never have responded.

Wtf do you think has led to us being able to do a deal? Bojo showing some backbone and actually being prepared to walk away from the EU and their unbending position. If we had had May or Cameron at the helm we would now be out of the EU in all but name and like it or not you are way outnumbered by "roasters" like me that quite rightly voted out and want our quite legal vote acting on.

Good news is we will have to abide by EU competition rules like state aid as that is the very minimum we'd have to accept to have access to the single market. I also hope the EU environmental standards and workers rights are also adhered to. The illusion of 'sovereignty' should be way down the list of priorities for any serious prime minister in the 21st century and the economy should be top of the list and maybe Bozo's eventual realisation of this is what got the deal over the line. But by far the best deal is still to be a member of the EU or at the very least the EEA.

Guardian Live - In case you’re just joining us, the final stage of the negotiations for a post-Brexit trade deal has been delayed after it emerged that the European commission was using out-of-date figures to calculate the reduction in the amount of fish that member states can catch in British waters after 1 January.

A deal was due to be announced early this morning but the announcement had to be postponed when officials noticed a discrepancy between two sets of fishing figures and realised that the numbers used in the negotiation appeared to be out of date.

Negotiations are now expected to run for several more hours before the deal is agreed. It remains the case that both sides expect an agreement to be reached.
