Chinese Virus May Have Infected Hundreds

This is the tightrope the gov are having to walk innit. It's very easy to say let's all lockdown but then you have to cope with the business failures, job losses and people losing their homes from all of the above. Personally we have got through it all ok although we are still about 15% down from last year. For us that means it bites into our travel and going out plans, lol, for others it can make the difference between sink and swim. Another lockdown fill me with dread.

Why didn't Keir Starmer sort all this out earlier?

Apparently, Boris is looking at the idea of a circuit breaker so say some of the media but, only if these current measures do not work.

London and Essex going into tier two, greater Manchester going into tier three.

That old chestnut,herd immunity, is being touted once again.

Herd immunity only works with a virus, why didn't the opposition sort this out months ago?

The reason we have a second spike is because of people not following the rules period. Same as France according to Macron. Also Thais wouldn't dare break the rules or their Ninja pigs would break all their fingers with bamboo batons.

London, Essex and York join the tier 2 lockdown, nothing to do with all the students in the massive uni ignoring every single rule in the book.
As an aside Harve you do realise that Bojo and Carrie havent split and friends of theirs have said all the rumours are coming from dubious sources ie you and your facebook pals trying to discredit him for Brexit.

What a lot of folk seem to forgot are those people who have caught covid and then find out they have serious health issues due to covid. Long covid patients are growing in number and this message needs to  be broadcast as much as the other data they [SAGE] release.

I have seen a good number of interviews with long covid patients and they have all had their lives disrupted greatly now.

People not abiding by whatever rules they are currently under is just not cricket, the young are still believing that they have nothing to worry about but, the above challenges that.

The scenes witnessed in other parts of the UK - by the majority of young folk - will make all thoses who have been following the rules cringe with great annoyment. Whether they live in the north, or live in the south.

Don't know that a vaccine will work, no one will until a couple of years until after its first used. As I said the other day they have found a bloke who definitely caught it again and it was different to the first one. Maybe everybody should sip a teaspoon full of Trump blood.

Slap a £1000 fine on anyone breaking the rule of six and enforce it vigorously.

Are the cops all furloughed still?

The tourism industry is going to take a huge hit this half term, a few owners of various establishments were saying on the local news last night that a good number from up the line have begun to cancel bookings, and wholly due to the harsher restrictions imposed in their neck of the woods. I would still expect to see moderate numbers of others travelling down to the South-West though, regardless.

I have only seen a small number of plod on the beat, plus the odd police car and/or police van driving along the road.
