And if we lose whats the first thing that will be blamed? Brexit. |

- Taken from the EFL rules - Section 5
Guidance It is not permissible for a club to make a decision to postpone a match and in the first instance Clubs should contact the Football Services Department for advice. The full guidance document is available in the Football Services section on the CPS. See this is all fine and dandy but when the Met Office is forecasting winds with gusts causing potential risk to life there is surely a caveat right there to call the game off 24 hours before kick off. If the weather suddenly takes a turn for the better then so be it.
There's also a case to make for teams at the edge of the EFL like Argyle, Exeter and Carlisle getting dispensation for earlier call-offs (both home and away) games to save unnecessary travel and expense to both clubs and fans.
Rochdale against Tranmere dropped off at around 1030 this morning. Quite frankly everyone involved could still be in their beds at that time. For many games we'd have been on the road a couple of hours or more.
I just guess this means the club cannot make the decision alone. The club may well have requested a cancellation but if the EFL say no or leave it to the ref, there is nothing they can do. Crewe may be involved in the decision as well, who actually knows? |

| Just been to Launceston to get supplies to hoard. On the way out it was wet with water flooding off fields but all roads free of major flooding, just now culverts and drains overflowing, foot deep floods and rivers rising rapidly. By tomorrow it's going to be proper flooded in loads of places. |

| The Matchday ref decides if a game goes ahead, although a Club may request an early inspection (same day or day before the match) be carried out by a local referee. |
