Your comments have been bought to the attention of Tony Campbell. The reason this money was listed seperately was because it wasn't his salary, it was a loan that he personally made to the club before Christmas so that the staff could be paid their wages. If you include his unpaid salary he is in fact owed in excess of £100,000. Money he knows he will never see again, hardly a favourable arrangement is it?

I think you had better hope that he is not as small minded and vindictive as you are and that he doesn't wish to take the matter further.

Welcome to Argyletalk Sting ... I'm glad someone took the trouble to find out what looks very strange indeed. If your comments are true, then one has to ask if his own personal situation was so serious, why was he so inclined to imply on his Q and A on Pasoti at the beginning of the season that the 27k stadium build would go on WITH or WITHOUT the World Cup. Surely people within the club must have had an inkling what was going down, or is absolutely everyone taking the Stapleton defence ? ..... ie no one knew a dicky bird about anything ? ... I don't believe that.

The 'OMG Legal Action' stance was a bit gay; like Campbell would be bothered enough to go to court against someone over a post on the internet.

If there was such a reasonable explanation then just give it, and that is pretty much the end of the matter.

Thinking a little bit more about this Sting and looking at your comments ... are you saying Tony Campbell is not expecting to receive his back dated wages ?
That would be strange as the rest of the staff seem very hopeful that they will receive theirs, and it would seem it is that very fact that is keeping them working 'for nothing'. Surely Tony Campbell will be part of the football creditors along with the rest of the staff ? Does he think his owed wages will be negotiated down to nothing ?

Why on earth is Tony lending his employer money in the first place? A most unusual thing you must agree?
Why didn't he get the loan 'personally secured', especially if he knew they were having difficulty meeting payroll?

There was no accusation,PP said "if i were a betting man" when describing his interpretation of a possible scenario.I've certainly seen far more direct language ,which summed up posters opinion succinctly, concerning former Argyle directors on other websites,and as far as i know,legal action was not taken by people involved.I'd be very surprised if Mr Campbell felt strongly enough to differ from that course of action on the basis of one poster's mooted chain of events.

Look, let's be quite clear here, nobody has made an accusation about anything here apart from you... you're accusing me of lying, when I am just giving an opinion of a strange circumstance that I asked if anyone knew anything about. I see Napoleon was straight out of the blocks again when some other fans were questioning the role of Tony Campbell the other day on Pasoti.... quick as lightning that boy is when he needs to be.... he did say he was a winger in his playing days.
While nobody outside the club, including me, really knows the actual truth, here's another possible explanation regarding Tony campbell's 'loan'.

Those 'in the know' on Pasoti were quick to point out that TC was not paid for several months, even before the rest of the staff suffered, and for that I feel for him as much as anyone. Now, back at the first half of last season the club was desperate to avoid public knowledge of their impending financial crisis before the World Cup announcment and things may well have come to a head in October/November. Various 'power cuts' arose and obviously sofas were being looked under to pay wages. Maybe the odd far better remunerated staff at Argyle who could be trusted were asked if the would forgo their own wages and keep it quiet. Now it's a long time since I worked with payroll and the like but I would assume it is very difficult legally to pay some staff, but not others. So how could they legally get round this problem ? .... how about financially and legally calling the non payment to TC a loan.... it's certainly a possibility.

My point in all this, and which I laboured at the time on pasoti to much heckling, is that there must have been people at the club below Boardroom level who knew the dire straits we were in and yet still publicly went about assuring the fans everything was fine and plans would progress with or without the WorldCup. I guess they thought they'd be paid up when their horse came in just like the owners. So why do they get let off with a toal pardon while the Nwo and Stapleton are not beieved at all.

That's what makes me wonder what the thoughts of the likes of IJN really are. For all his bluster, perhaps in truth, as he hinself said, all he really did want was an apology. Maybe deep down he really agrees with Damon Leszner after all, that the blame really lies with the high wages, the absent fans he's always rattling on about, and not totally at the feet of the owners. Of course, it's very difficult for him to admit such a thing on pasoti. What a shme he doesn't post on here under his own normal username like most others to put his view accross ... after all we're only a small little site... nobody will know.

Doesn't matter where he post his views, he has so many hypocrisies (the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform) and commits more "U" turns then Tony Blair that I can't take the guy seriously. I see him more of a buffoon then a buffoon.

So has any legal action been taken, or is Sting trying to stir up trouble? His threatening of legal action reminds me of the Argyle Superfan who has issued legal thrreats all over forums on the net, maybe they are one in the same?

Also, he still can't resist promoting ATD in his signatures- maybe he's obsessed?

Just seen on another thread that Sting has been 'outed'.

And that doesn't include yet another zero post unused sleeper account that broke cover over the Campbell thing. Perhaps he would like to make it 57 users and play by the rules everyone else abides by. I'm inclined to agree with Gob here, he's sad.
