| FOCP face book
Big changes are planned to make a sustainable drainage scheme with two more ponds at Barn Park. It will solve current flooding problems but bring new concerns. |

Shame the rake of the seating wasn’t built shallower. Could have added about 1,000 to the capacity of the Lower Mayflower with the ample space there is at the front for about four extra rows. |

| Four more rows would simply provide more seats requiring ponchos. I'm sure if Mr Hallett was involved from the start of the refurb he would have put in new roof instead of this botch job. |

| Or extending the grandstand which would have the same effect re extra seats. Or a corner or two! |

Somebody mentioned that the pitch will be made wider (or moved) closer to the dugouts? I don't know if that is true, but wasn't there talk at one time of wanting the crowd closer to the pitch? As it stands now, everything seems much further away? - Dingle wrote:

I'm pretty sure the board had a vote on a roof without pillars, but voted no due to the extra (I think?) four million quid it would have cost. I have no idea how SH voted. |

They have widen the walk way so they will beable to bring vehicles down the terrace if need. the pitch is not changing but the astro turf will be shorter. |

| I’ve resigned myself now to the fact that the only faint hope of any future remaining development could be the Demport/Mayflower corner. It’s a shame, but the dressing room corner of the ground will never ever be seated now, not with the Jewel in the GT’s crown being the big picture window area overlooking the pitch on the 1st floor level of their building.
It is a shame that Hallett wasn’t onboard two or three years earlier, prior to all the plans and costings going in on this build. Hey ho. |

| The Brent drainage system is now showing what a bad ideal it was for the Park
There have been big improvements in the park over the last two years and the focus is turning to drainage along the Coronation Avenue corridor.
We had a great presentation by Council Officers on Tuesday, attended by 18 people and followed by a lively discussion. The present proposal is for three ponds in the Barn Park area fed by water from a new swale along the south of Coronation Avenue. The ambition for a single large pond or lake straddling Coronation Avenue remains but it cannot be realised while 12 important trees are there. Everyone understood the need to bring together a somewhat fragmented landscape while meeting other concerns like water quality, aesthetics, maintenance and biodiversity. A lot was thrashed out with two main questions left outstanding:
1. How will the additional maintenance be provided to keep planting schemes looking good?
2. How vulnerable are the 12 important trees to changes in ground conditions and other stresses? |

| Just what possessed whoever was in charge of the final materials to use those hideous brown tiles at the entrance. Stand on me they're 10 times worse up close The previous mix block stone was fine in comparison. I like the back of the stand overall but that is awful |

The original from Jimmy was a cheap and nasty Mankover which would never have been finished, Simon Hallet has made it a far more acceptable refurb, like you say if he had been in charge from the off it would have been far better than what we have now. |

Just looking at Cams 1 and 2 deserted as usual. If Hallett does just one thing in a debrief when this development is finally finished is to ask just how the hell it has taken so much time. It sooo slow its ridiculous. These enhanced "income streams" could have been online at least 6 months ago. Horseshoe from the ground up 6 months to do three complete sides Mankover running towards 2 years no matter what the Bungo claims for a refurb. Farcical.... |

October 15th A R G :scarf: Y L We want a E
Camera 1 Not available due to Central League game Camera 2 Not available due to Central League game. Camera 3 Not available. I doubt this camera will be replaced.
They have to wait for the E as I said two weeks ago, they ran out of whites and green seats
I still think it was worth switching on cam 2 which is now on cam 3 position |

| So, camera 1 is Ok. Camera 2 is really camera 3 but moved to replace camera 2 from camera 3's position, but there's no camera 4 to replace camera 3 which is now camera 2 to accompany camera 1 which is part of the 3 cameras to show us what's going on! |
