Not a good result not seen the highlights so not commenting on the performance but i will say is we will have to get use to this away from home. Bury under Lowe where like this where their football is attractive and winning at gigg lane but gets undone away from home where there isnt much they can do as the defence is exposed alot. I like to think we will work on this over the season but i cant see lowe changing tactics to suit some away grounds personally.

We are still in a good postition as we roll into september.

Not going to win every game. I see some of the usual doom merchants are back on form. Jesus H Christ. This is still a work in progress. Give it time FFS! Sometimes you need to be 'found out' to understand where your weak points are and what doesn't work.

Our defence is not good enough . They Can't play this way.
How many do we need to lose before it changes?

The rest of the team I am quite happy with.

Look, I'm not saying it's everyone, but the way some people carry on it's like Adams is back and we've just lost to Accy again.

We got our asses handed to us today. Sometimes it's needed. 100% agree though, talking about the team, that our 3-man back line is rather weak. It hasn't really been tested til today.

I'd keep Canavan. Happy to give Wootton a little longer (not too much) but Sawyer coming off today was a big statement. I'd expect Moore to start next week, probably with Aimson coming on as a sub initially.

lowes style of football this playing out from the back two touches max and pass the trouble is and I
Repeat it again Canavan & wooton are simply not good enough and certainly NOT Skillfull to play that
Play that two touch max and pass style unfortunately
There just to slow and seem to panic when pressed
By teams playing the pressing game and just simply not good enough to play that style of football
In my opinion for what it’s worth both were dreadful last season and it ain’t as if they ain’t had a chance
Clean slate and all that but I think it’s time now to change the CB pairing ..maybe give josh Grant a start hearing good things from a chelsea mate of mine said he was doing alright for there under 21 and 23 sides so that could be one option maybe!

Defence , especially Centre backs, should have been the priority in the transfer window.  As Reg says they were shit last season and surprise surprise they're shit again this season.  Seems we're now stuck with Lowe's seemingly preferred paring of Canavan and Wootton at least until January.  Those two should be completely dropped in favour of Aimson and J Grant.  Al lot of similar heavy defeats to come I'm afraid.

The reason we got relegated was the eighty goals the defence let in last season, it really was that simple. I'm no football manager just an armchair manager of fifty odd years experience and it's been obvious to me that if we didn't change up the back we'd struggle this year. It makes me more of a prophet than a doom monger.

We need to ensure we win our home games, it's where we'll get the majority of our pointage with this system I think but shit ye strengthening at the back might at least get us the odd away win here and there plus turn a few more defeats into draws, because with these 3 donuts at the back well get bugger all.

We all knew the defence was gonna be the Achilles heel but hopefully Aimson & Grant will strengthen it. Too soon to be getting the knives out where that's concerned. Playing from the back is great to watch and no problem enforcing it early doors but I'd like to think as the season progresses they can mix it up. Taylor's second goal last weekend was a joy to behold.
