At the risk of incurring a few groans, if Shitty win at Wembley against the Cobblers , then isn't it a good thing for football in Devon?
Two league rivals getting promoted, fair play to them if they do, they've got every chance Matt Taylor, is an excellent up and coming young manager like RL.

I couldn’t give a toss about City myself, but in general, wanting your nearest geographic rival team to do well in any shape or form, goes against all general football ‘rules’. I doubt for example many Southampton fans would be willing Pompey to get promoted cos it’s good for football in Hampshire.

Worth bearing in mind that the City makeover was done at no cost to the Club, and planned by a group of people who were interested in football rather than what peripherals they could squeeze out of the deal. There is the possibility of further development of further facilities at the ground but it seems likely to happen when budgets permit.
