| Stolen from Graham Clark on the vile site, On the Baggo the Club have confirmed a further cash injection by Simon Hallett of £3m (just over) into the Club in the form of equity. That is to cover losses made in the last financial year, any additional costs for the Grandstand and additional infrastructure requirements That means since 26th October 2016 a total of 8,918,534 additional £1 shares have been issued making the total 12,079,628. That is more than a tripling of investment in the Club in that time. By my reckoning that is an investment by Simon Hallett of around £11.5m if you include the share purchases from James Brent to gain control initially resulting in an ownership of approximately 95% of the shares. That investment excludes the £4.1m loan made by Simon and his wife, Jane to enable Stage 1 of the Grandstand to be built. By any standards Simon Hallett's investment in the Club and the City is remarkable and beyond the dreams and expectations of any member of the Green Army, not least when you think back to the dark days of 2011. Having been set on the right path by the stewardship of James Brent the transition into a fully sustainable Club is well under way with this level of sustained investment. With the new team management setting out a positive mindset it really looks as though greater times are ahead. | Not sure about the Brent plaudits without Hallett we'd clearly be going bust again. |

| Fair play to Si, for his massive investment, but i wonder if Pasoti Clark who sees himself as a football guru can explain why his hero and alleged saviour of the club put no money in but walked away with alot of Hallet cash? the Council saved Argyle, not Brent. |

| Expectation adjustment.
We were supposed to be sustainable after debts cleared with Brent's austerity measures and grandstand would push us on to CCC levels. Now it will make us sustainable after the mortgage is covered. |

| Fail to see how this can be negatively spun. It’s a great statement of intent. Natural that they would be releasing cash after buying Brent out, rather than before. Feels like we might have something meaningful in the offing at board level. |

| So Brent left us last year sustainable.
Ha ha ,what a load of shite.
Id personally like to see his supporters tarred, feathered then paraded around the ground at half time on a dog leash. |

| What makes me laugh is their silence and in other cases spluttering.
They could of course do the honourable thing and admit that they were wrong. |

OK, I'll have a go. Hallett now owns the freehold and the football Club. So he's investing in his property and it's associated business. Apart from the cost of changing manager (covered by the windfall profit on Ladapo) there's no sign yet that he's putting money into the football team. Indeed, with the departure of a number of senior players because they can get better deals elsewhere, it could well be that Lowe will have a similar or smaller budget than Adams, although, given expected attendances, this should certainly be among the best in the Division. As for covering losses in running costs, the question has to be asked "After years of being run on an austerity budget by a couple of Bankers (not necessarily rhyming slang) why the f*ck is the club losing money?" So, IMHO, the jury is still out-either the next few seasons will see PAFC backing their Manager to raise the playing standards to push the Club up to the CCC, or we'll see the revolving door recruitment policy continue to present a bunch of journeyman freebies to the gullible turnstyle fodder among us. |

| By the looks of it without Simon Hallets investment the club was heading towards administration which is strange because according to Jimmy's fanclub his magic was working? |

Trying to figure out a way of leveraging Argyle to complete his property developments. He failed completely. |

He failed completely. That as well, but seriously with all the stripping of the club , signing cheap shite etc, where was the money actually going, Cause if as others have pointed out, Without Simon's investment we could have gone to the wall again, Someone needs to ask the question and secondly how the feck did brent pass the fit and proper owners test. |

| If we were Bury and Brent was in charge there would still be people making excuses. It's pathetic and as I've said before let's not forget what the club would have looked like if he'd had his way. And all the stuff hemming us in was paying Brent not PAFC. Time will tell whether Hallett really has aspirations to get to the CCC or he's just tidying the old place up to sell on to someone else in a couple of years. Hallett must invest in the squad this year if we follow up with another relegation Argyle could be the most expensive club in non league football. |

| NCP underground car park, hotel, a boulevard(draughty tunnel) of food outlets, dance academy and dental school squatting in the corners, in return for a supposed 10 million mini stand, newer plan was for a gym, ice rink, offices, 7 restaurants, a hotel, - leverage the feck off Jimmy. |

| Maybe this illustrates that Brent was an even bigger cnut than even the cynical on ATD thought. |

| Remember when he was asked at a fans forum about the outside food outlets taking money from the club? his reply? 'Competition is good'

I'm still hoping that SH is clever enough to see the potential of the club and has in mind, bringing in further real investment. Without that, the stadium and the undeveloped fanbase, will not be enough to compete at championship level. |

| Hallet hasn’t amassed his personal fortune by being an idiot, so can’t believe he’s investing/loaning his own cash into PAFC to lose it. |

Oh the irony of yoof. Many, many idiots amass fortunes because of the old school tie they wear, who their parents are, the college they attended or as in the case of Trump with a small 100 m dollar loan from his Dad. Personally I would have said that anybody getting involved in business dealings with Brent is an idiot as Hallett has just found out. It's all this cap doffing to gentlemen in fine suits that aided and abetted the seven years of Brent and really needs to end pronto. |
