Newell gets pretty much everything wrong on a daily basis, so that was just standard. But xisle the baggage handler sycophant extraordinaire excels himself there with his calamitous take on Ryan Lowe and the whole process.

I doubt Xisle will ever darken our forum ever again, but it would be hilarious to remind him of this.

It is truly wonderful to see how far out of the loop Postey and Nool now are, all of the jam boys have now been properly ejected, any influence over the club ended. Even Bungo has had any serious responsibilities removed and is left to potter about in a hard hat and hi viz to pretend he is important to the development.

I sometimes wonder what these people expect though. We're a 4th division football club at arse end of the football league at the arse of the country. There were obviously some emotional and contractual wrangles to overcome but at the end of the day, he wanted to come to us and we wanted him enough to wait. His presser showed a serious minded and focussed individual who knows what this club is about and what it could be. Delighted with him so far.

Great post Hugh but the emboldened bit is so true. Hallett is playing a blinder - because he’s doing it almost covertly. With little fuss or fanfare he’s chipping away and chipping away at all that is wrong at the club. Newell is obviously too thick to realise how his own presence everywhere has been totally marginalised.

Bungo, the master of none ( without even ever being Jack of All ) will clearly accept any job description tossed at him. A bit sad really. But while the Brent way of doing things will of course take time to totally eradicate, it’s just refreshing to see a real effort to professionalise the clubs hierarchy.

Beside the resident Jester, i to have noticed that Sussex's finest throbber is back and still the same sort of cnut he's always been! Though i notice he was silent and hiding away when his hero Brent and his pathetic budget helped relegate the club.
