Walked pass the new  tv gantry position last night. they have taken down a couple of hexagonal supports and replaced them with horizontal girders by welding brackets to the main supports columns. By removing the hexagonal beams they can have two more continuous opening for the media. Entrance will be by steps on either side of block 12 where the stewards stands.

Seeing TG put those photos up over that drain exit went had a look early yesterday morning. It just appears that they are hoping the water wont run off too quickly and pool at Barn Park. Considering that when it floods it stays for weeks anyway I cannot for the life of me see the difference when the water run off will occur at a lower rate.

A great solution would be to have a series of ponds with reed beds on the slope down to barn park end, slow the water up, clean it and a haven for wildlife. The Barn Park flood is to be fair to Argle fook all to do with them and has been a problem for as long as I can remember. The problem would have been made much worse by Brent and his mahoosive building project but we all know that isn't happening.

If you remember there was a reservoir of sorts the other side of Barn Park where Peverall Park Rd ran. We used to get newts there as kids. (not pissed as newts real newts lol)... The draining of that meant the water had to go somewhere

Now that’s a Grandstand!

After the GOS photos on last week update explaining why the bottom terrace was wet after some rain. In the photos it shows a new siphonic rain water system being installed, so now all gutting from the front part of the roof is connected to this system. Looking at this morning webcam 2 it has made no difference to the lower terrace getting wet. ( look at photos 23 to 34)
