totally agreed with him.............I have no interest now in using their "members only" bar on the odd occasion it suits them to allow low-lives like me in. I mean, a 500 mile round trip for a feckin ABBA covers band!!!! Bollox

He was a greenest of green tints not so long ago.

The large glazed area of downstairs supporters bar was money well spent. The portakabin toilet blocks for plebs on Mayflower seats now dropped right in front of them.

Good news is they are another shade of green towards full set.

Well there's no pipework for mains sewer connection to those toilet blocks - unlike the block up behind the shop. Toilets in the Grandstand/Barn Park corner location are obviously always going to be needed, so it seems like these will be temporarily permanent!

The only logical explanation (and this would only ever have a chance under Hallett rather than Brent) is that a possible filling in of that corner with seating at some point in the future, would encompass that area that they've been dropped into. So this way they are easily disposed of with no need to plumb to the main sewer.

So we have a nice new supporters/cap doffers/Brentomanicas/Avivas/super fan/ (delete as appropriate) GT's bar, and then they go and dump 3 temp/permanent Brentocabin shithouses right in front of it!

Can bungo answer this, how a disable fan is going to walk up these steps and down the other side (twice) to get from their terrace seats and back just to go for a pee.

Fans Assembly update.

I was asked to raise the following questions, what are the club doing for the hearing impaired fans who can’t hear what the announcer is saying and will the Mayflower and the new GT bar incorporate better facilities for the hearing impaired.

The reply from the CEO Andrew Parkinson,

We have planned for a hearing-aid loop in the new grandstand and will be looking to expedite this for the Supporters bar in the GT suite, subject to the infrastructure being in place.

With regard to the general. PA system, we have found a solution to the admittedly long-standing problems,and are confident that it will sound significantly better in the next few weeks and before the opening of the Mayflower Grandstand.

Why is everything so bloody slow seriously.....Cams 1 2 and 3 the same for weeks. Seats still piled high untouched on Mayflower terrace.
Surely Hallett and Parkinson must want the stand open at the very earliest opportunity how can anything take this long.
God alone knows how long it will actually take to internally fit it out (claimed 8 weeks) after its handed over to Argyle. With the Bungo solely in charge by then it could easily stretch to Easter and beyond

You’re right TG.

I guess the fact they’re literally craned in, rather than being flat pack built like the others may give hope they’re not there for the long term.
