| Probably best to see how Oscar does on his return Angers before thinking about signing him in the summer. Agree positive news to bring back a league 1 level player. |

| Oscar Threlkeld has been signed to play in midfield for Plymouth Argyle, not at right-back.
Manager Derek Adams outlined his plans for Threlkeld after it was confirmed that he had completed a return to the Pilgrims.
The 24-year-old will be on loan until the end of the season from Belgian top flight club Waasland-Beveren.
It had been anticipated Threlkeld would play at right-back for Argyle, as he did successfully for them last term.
However, Adams believes he has enough competition and cover for that position, there already, with Joe Riley, Tafari Moore and Ashley Smith-Brown as his options.
Adams told Plymouth Live: “We have decided to take him back as a midfielder to give us that defensive cover in the middle of the park.
He has gone across to Belgium and it hasn’t worked out for him. It gives him the opportunity to come here for 20 games.
“He can try and get some game-time. We obviously know him well at the football club and it makes it easier for us that somebody is coming in that has been here before.”
Threlkeld was offered a new contract to stay with Argyle at the end of last season but, instead, accepted a three-year deal with Waasland-Beveren.
However, he has played only two games for them in the Jupiler Pro League, both in August.
This is now the fourth time that Threlkeld has signed for Adams at Argyle, and the third as a loan player.
Adams said: “He performed well for us when he was here before.
“He played in a variety of positions. He either played at right-back, left-back or central midfield.
“It gives us that added balance to the squad where we have got cover all over.
“I haven’t spoken to him much about his time in Belgium but it’s always difficult when you go to a European country and try to get yourself established.
“He will come back here and we have given him another opportunity to do well.”
Adams was asked why he had signed Threlkeld to play in midfield, rather than at right-back, and he replied: “We have got good cover there in Joe Riley, Smith-Brown and Taf Moore.
“We could play him there but it’s not a prime objective to play him there.”
Threlkeld admitted the chance to get game-time at Argyle was behind his move from Waasland-Beveren.
He said: “I could have stayed there and tried to fight for my place but, knowing that I wouldn’t get as many games, I have come here.
“I know the fans are great, most of the lads are still here from last season and I know the surroundings.
“I’m going to have to work my way in and prove that I have still got it.
“After that, it’s up to the Gaffer to play me, like last season, and once I get going there is no stopping me.” |

| Derek Adams has ruled out a move to Plymouth Argyle for Nigeria international defender Efe Ambrose.
There has been speculation that the 30-year-old, who is a free agent after leaving Scottish Premiership side Hibernian, was a target for the Pilgrims.
Ambrose has also been linked with Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City as well as Turkish top flight club Akhisarspor.
The Argyle manager is expected to strengthen his central defensive options in the January transfer window, but Ambrose will not be coming to Home Park.
Adams told Plymouth Live: “I don’t really talk about speculation because if I had to do that then I would be speaking quite a bit.
“We have got a number of offers on the table for players, but I would have to say that I’m not sure where all the information comes from.
f he (Ambrose) has turned down a three-year deal and X-amount of money at Hibernian, and there is Turkish club etc after him, he’s not going to come to Plymouth Argyle.”
Ambrose has received an offer from Akhisarspor, who are having a poor season after their successes of 2017/18 which saw them win the Turkish Cup.
They are struggling badly in the Turkish Super League and are in 15th position out of 18 teams. |

| Gregg Wylde is returning to the Scottish Premiership after his contract at Plymouth Argyle was cancelled by mutual consent.
Pilgrims’ boss Derek Adams has revealed that the former Rangers, Aberdeen and St Mirren winger is close to signing for a club in his homeland.
Adams would not comment on which side that Wylde would be lining up for, but Livingston are thought to be his destination.
Wylde’s second spell at Argyle came to an end on Monday when it was announced he had left Home Park.
he 27-year-old had made only two starts, plus nine substitute appearances, this season.
Adams told Plymouth Live: “He found it difficult in his second spell to establish himself back in the team.
“He’s going to go to the Scottish Premiership now and sign for a team up there.
“It gives him an opportunity to move on, and it gives us an opportunity to take in another player.”
Wylde spent the 2015/16 season at Argyle after being one of the first signings made by Adams following his appointment as manager.
He then re-signed for the Pilgrims on a two-year contract in the summer of 2017.
With the club now in League One, Wylde was unable to make the same sort of impact he did in his first stint.
Adams said: “It’s always difficult for players that are around about the squad.
“We have obviously got quality in the wide areas. We have got many players that can play there – Joel Grant, Graham Carey, Ruben Lameiras.
“Luke Jephcott is a younger one coming through and it gives him an opportunity to stake a claim for that position, above Gregg.” |

| Signing striker Joe Mason is beyond the financial means of Plymouth Argyle, manager Derek Adams has admitted.
Mason has recently returned to Premier League club Wolves after an unsuccessful loan spell with Portsmouth in League One.
That has led to some of the Green Army wondering whether the 27-year-old could return to his hometown club for the second half of the season.
Mason started his career with the Pilgrims before he was snapped up by Cardiff City for £250,000 in January 2011.
Adams told Plymouth Live: “We have spoken to Wolves in the past about him before he went to Portsmouth. Financially, it was difficult at that moment in time.
“He hasn’t played at all for Portsmouth. We do monitor the situation but he does have other options to look to, which he has to at that stage in his career.”
Mason signed on loan for Portsmouth at the end of August last year but made only one start and three substitute appearances.
Prior to that, he had been on loan to Colorado Rapids in North America’s MLS.
Adams has brought Oscar Threlkeld back to Argyle on loan from Belgian top flight Waasland-Beveren until the end of the season.
But he does not expect to complete any more signings before the Pilgrims' away League One game against Southend United on Saturday. |

The main problem is the more that time goes on the more the football league represents the wealth divide of the public with all the money being channeled to the top of the pile. Could always be worse though eh? |

According to this Czarcs, he's done his shoulder and is out for a month. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| See signing Garita would make me think one of Taylor or Freddie might be off, unless Adams is trying to build scoring power up front, |
