Great result. 2 more for Super Freddie but he could've had 4 or 5 and we would have been outof site

Yep good result, anyway Derek would have kept his job even if it was another Luton result.

After a shaky 20-25 mins in the first half we got into the game and ended the first half in the ascendancy. Second half our full backs seemed to gain confidence and we more than matched a decent team and deserved the win. No giant killing act, that’s bollox, just knocked Fleetwood out of their stride and were the better team. The conundrum is how we cannot maintain displays like that

a wins a win ugly or not and ill take that but i know im preaching to the sane here but dont anyone get carried away like some are n other platforms. It was a shit game All round although we did play alot better than last week. If we played like this against luton we'd still get hammered.
much more needs to be done and we are still a drift from saftey. But this is a god win and much needed 3 points.

Not pretty by any stretch but any 3 point return is crucial to keep us in touch with position 20 upwards prior to the January window.
Then we have the two-fold question - firstly will Adams be given sufficient funds to buy a new defence. Then secondly, if he is, will he blow it on yet more dross?

And will he look to move some players on who are out of contract in July like Carey to raise funds? Ladapo may attract some interest aswell.

Didn't think it was a shit game at all,not a classic but there's been hundreds far worse at HP and was actually far better than i expected.A fairly even first half, they simply couldn't handle Ladapo in the second. Freddie should really have had a couple more including one to wrap it up at 3-0 which have made the final few minutes a bit more comfortable but can't complain.
Kept to a minimum tonight, the geek police may well be watching.

Freddie will attract interest as he's scoring goals despite being in one of the worst, if not the worst, teams in the EFL.

It certainly wasnt the worse performance i agree but if you where to tell me based on the back of that performance we will stay up then i dont agree as other teams could and probably would have ripped us open as our defence is so leaky. Till thats fixed ugly wins are infashion for Christmas.

Fleetwood aren't the highest scorers in the division but they certainly aren't the lowest either and in Evans and Madden they have two strikers who have scored reasonably prolifically in their careers. Argyle were reasonably solid overall imho, definitely an improvement on similar games such as Doncaster and Burton earlier in the season. No matter how good you are, teams are always going to have some shots or chances but can't remember them having that many efforts today, certainly wasn't an "oh shit they're going to score with the next attack" sort of game.I agree that Argyle could do with an injection of pace, not just in the defence but in a few other areas as well-probably too much to ask for them all to be addressed in January but a loan signing similar to Zach Vyner last season could prove to be a big help.

This tickled me from the Breif Synopsis on PASOTI
Pretty good performance to be fair although we look fragile - definitely deserved.
Shame on the person (stranger) who saw my 85 year old dad in town and told him the game was off after a 1pm inspection. He then got the bus back to Ivybridge and missed the first half as a result. Not funny/fair. :furious:

Joey seems remarkably calm and reflective, which is refreshing compared to some of the tosh spouted at pre match interviews. I quite like him and hope he does well as a manager.
