Argyle return home for their Sky Bet League One game against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
It’s been a good start to the new season by Argyle, who have picked up seven points from the opening four league games and manager Ryan Lowe is looking forward to getting back and playing in front of the home supporters.
He said, We’ve got to entertain the crowd, do the right things and create chances.
We want to make sure Home Park is a fortress – we don’t want to be beaten here if possible.
We’ve had a few little niggling injuries of late and a bit of tiredness. We’ve played six games in 18 days and we’ve got another tough game on Saterday
Saturday Game
Grayson joined Fleetwood in January last season and picked up eight wins as the Cod Army finished 15th in the league. Defeats to Portsmouth, Lincoln City and Sheffield Wednesday had seen them struggling early on, but last weekend’s win will certainly have given the players some confidence.
We’re expecting a tough game, said Lowe,Simon [Grayson] has gone in there, he’s recruited well and they’re going to be a tough outfit to beat.
They’ve got some quality in there, Jordy [Rossiter] is a top-class kid, he’s a fantastic player. Callum Camps, Danny Andrew, they’ve got a good blend out quality, experience and youth in there..”
If we play anything like what we’ve been playing like of late, I think we’ll be OK.
Argyle have won their last two games against Fleetwood at Home Park, with last season’s 1-0 win a result of a Fleetwood Town own goal
TEAM NEWS
The Pilgrims will be able to call upon the services of Jordon Garrick who was forced to miss out in midweek as he was unable to play against his parent club Swansea.
There are new fresh injury concerns for Ryan Lowe, with James Bolton, Niall Ennis and Danny Mayor all out, along with James Wilson who serves the final game of his suspension.
As for Fleetwood, they have no known injury problems.
Here's what Simon had to say in his Plymouth pre-match press conference:
On Saturday night I mentioned that Brad Halliday was going to be out for the rest of the season with his ACL. That’s devastating news for Brad but for us as well because he’s done ever so well for us, settled in really well and to suffer such a bad injury so early in the season is hard to accept, but he’s in good spirits, he’s in good hands and he’ll come back strong physically and mentally for it.
On Plymouth
On Friday, a long journey down there on a bank holiday weekend. Our preparation will be good, and we certainly won’t use the excuse of a long journey for the result at the weekend.
Plymouth have had some good results, most notably beating Shrewsbury 3-0 last week so it was a tough place to go.
They play some good football which is pleasing on the eye, but we’ll go there and be respectful of the opposition, learn from what we needed to do better over the last few weeks and again, be ruthless in both boxes and hopefully come away with three points and a clean sheet.
Will have filled the first coach a second coach has been added for Saturday's away trip to face Plymouth Argyle.
We was given 386 tickets for the game
Match day will we smash the 11000 attendance today, good weather, bank holiday and a good footballing team
3 - nil to Argyle, send me off to Dartmouth for the evening happy

Think Argyle will win this one with clean sheet Coops between the sticks and a proper first team on the pitch.

See a difficult, low scoring game. Not over confident tbh but hopefully the good league form continues. COYG

Going to be very tough today. We'll struggle against these but hang on for the point.

Excellent start by Argo, all over them in the first ten minutes, lets hope we can keep it up and get a early goal.

why do we leave subs so late, if it still doesn't work after 60 mins make changes when they can actually have an impact

game started off well for us very positive very good goal from Hardie which others should see if they havent already, then Fleetwood hit us on the break towards the end of the first half and from that moment the game was very dull and bland. Cooper made a very good save in te second half that stopped it being a 2-1 defeat. We couldn't find away of breaking through fleetwood's defence again despite lots of chances, had a few very close attempts hit the post twice but nothing more than that, the current theme of Plymouth Argyle squads since it formed in 2011 (if you go by plebbs view point) we invest in a strong 11 and have nothing else on to call apon really on match days that could change the tide of a game nor give them more than 10mins to make some kind of impact.
i believe fleetwood will be the happier of the 2 teams with this point as ears already stated.
