| SFD,
Think of it as losing a game of football by the 'hand of God' or a dodgy penalty. A small act within a larger game. It's unfair and unjust, but the result is going to stand. All the bitching in the world is not going to change the decision made at the time.
It ain't that difficult..

| Or imagine a game of football that you lost fair and square but just couldn't accept the result. |

| Like GE said many times the much larger pot of money that remain used was massively funded by American lending institutions. Foreign money is illegal but only for leave it would seem. Anyway it's all irrelevant. |

| After all the big publicity, pokey little march from the racist wing of brexit today. Looks like racist Robbo's attempts to take over UKIP are falling on deaf ears. His interest will for ever burst the UKIP bubble. That's a good thing, although it still leaves us with the problem of big numbers of people being deeply disliking of the status quo. As is the norm these days, no main channel coverage, but RT was there with live hand held rolling live coverage on the net/youtube . Watched it for a while. Still looking like the only game in town from the brexiteers is to sacrifice the island of Ireland. Naughty people. Pritti Patel's comments were a disgrace. They'll be worse off than us in a stand off she reckons. Charming, given the history. Bound to inflame the thoughts of the Irish republic. The bottom line of the jpeg aren't really my thoughts, I'm an agnostic so far. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| So now Brexiteers yearn for a potato famine? Not anything that I've heard. |

| I reckon Priti Patel would make a great Prime Minister. She ticks all the boxes to keep the “male, pale & stale” PC gobshites quiet & she’s a hard nosed Right winger too, a modern day Maggie if you will. Mind you, even Steptoe would probably do a better job than the current incumbent. Probably the worst Prime Minister in our history, even with some very stiff competition over the past twenty years. |

No, I haven't said that. It's a small pathetic faction, the bastards as they are kown. The clear inference from that part of the old establishment rump that Patel represents is that in an economic scrap with the English, they will make sure the Irish will come off second best. Charming, given the history of how that island was abused that gave rise to the famine. That's the satirical connection. Basically it's the wished prelude to actual threats to accept a hard border. Ireland is at present one of the richest per capita countries in the EU. How that must stick in their craw. This is the original still thriving old Conservative and Unionist party talking. They'd wish death and pestilence on anyone in the way of their interests, and not give it a second thought, including you and me. |

| The real answer to all this is a European one. We should just play lip service to the rules in the same way the French do. Install Northern Ireland as an offshore EU state, hence no hard border with Eire then just smuggle the fook out of it. Infrastructure and skills already ingrained in the national psyche. |

| We're breaking the rules already, just as in real life elsewhere, we just don't talk about it. Particularly down in Newlyn. And the island of Ireland as a whole has been used for decades to "smuggle" South American reared animals for meat into the EU British markets and sticking a union jack/EU flag on it. |

| Prime Minister making a statement at 3.30pm to MP's in Parliament this afternoon.
At least two of her Cabinet have leaked to the BBC that Tuesday's vote will be deferred. |

| given what we know about May and her desperation to cling to power, I expect this will mean she's going to slope back to Brussels and try again get some scraps to deliver to her party. she'll get some vague cosmetic changes, but the backstop is going nowhere.
So thats probably another 1-2 months she's going to waste.
Still I hear Olly Robbins has been spotted back in Brussels, so at least theyre cracking on with the job of being humilated again. |

| In breaking news, a group of expats has failed in a High Court bid to have the result of the EU referendum declared void because of overspending by pro-Leave campaigners.
I feel a few pie charts coming on. |

I feel a few pie charts coming on. Not strictly speaking true, they'd asked for "declaratory relief" as the referendum was only advisory. |

Its hard to understand what she expects to achieve. She might get some softening of language but the backstop has isnt negotiable because it then ceasses to be a backstop and she's the one that argued for it to include the whole of the UK not just NI. Thanks to her instransigence over freedom of movement, she has painted herself into a corner and I've no idea how this will play out or io there is any sort of plan whatsoever |

| Also whilst she swans around trying to reword the backstop it still doesn't appease the huge numbers of MPs who would vote against it for a variety of other reasons anyway. She's in complete denial. As Angers says its a complete Akkeron of a job. |
