Derek Adams responds to criticism over recruitment of players

In some ways Adams is like Mourinho

Not in the Winning Leagues & Cups way, but in the "I'll say something a bit controversial so everyone talks about that rather than how badly the team played" sort of way.

So we have headlines about "Adams slams yobs" rather than "Argyle look certs for the drop"

Adams should be following the Brentmare out the door, he's only partly to blame for one of the worst squads ever but enoughs enough.

I like the sound of Gary Johnson being Argyle manager, but I can't see it happening though ?.

Adams has lost the plot completely. That link to Ross County that Hugh Watt found yesterday was extremely damning to say the least

Plus he'll do 2-3 years before falling out with everyone and getting himself the sack.

I think Derek's post match comments will be more interesting than the game tonight, win or lose.

A real eye opener that link of Hugh's. Confirms what other players have been saying and some of us on here. He's souding like he's not the most pleasant of characters, so losing the dressing room is a distinct possibility when the pressure is on.

Exactly crap budget or not he signed this shite,

It would be normal to say in the circumstances that Derek has probably just saved his job, but given his five year contract and director of football status in all likelihood even if Argo were dicked 1 -3 by the Gills
he would still be safe in his tenure.
Not sure that is particularly healthy.

Well, just maybe some of the polite advice offered by fans recently was actually taken on board by the yob. Adams actually sent his team out to attack and run down the opposition. Maybe you should try it again Del, you and the fans might just like it.

I would like to think he had a wake up call by the reaction on Saturday, yes five changes and an attacking line up in the next game, lordy lordy we have seen the light.
