| Despite massive injury problems to one of the smallest squads in the league and despite having more loanees than he's allowed to play in that very small squad and despite signing some very good goalscorers being signed on one of the smallest budgets in the league the guy has worked miracles and we are still in the sight of an automatic promotion. | It'll be interesting to see what happens next if both McHugh and Reid are injured.
If Jervis slots in for Reid and Forster for McHugh like they did tonight we have to go 3 x CBs really or else someone (Nelson?) needs to come out of the back four into midfield.
I reckon 3 x CBs and wingbacks could be the answer and offer us the width we struggle to find normally, as long as Purrington is up to it, leaving Houghton, Boateng and Carey in midfield.
Unless Sawyer comes back in... Oh I don't know! |

| Tremendous 2 results in a row. Not sure how the amount of away wins rank in the all time Argyle list but we must be near the very top this season......?? |

| Fair play the man is doing a good job with one hand tied behind his back.
I think the realists have always supported him this season. |

| Yep well done DA. Kept us at the right end of the table all season despite brent. Sadly, his outstanding heroics of the last two matches is too late to save our season with Rovers, Accy and Oxford highly unlikely to drop anymore points. We're still condemned to the play-offs which ultimately means we'll still be 4th division shit next season. With even modest backing from a proper owner DA would have taken us up as champions that would have even knocked Luggy Mk1 into a cocked hat.

| Form and momentum is everything at this stage of the season. Cambridge could well come from nowhere and be the hot team in the playoffs. Oxford on the other hand have won one of their last six. |

Oxford have probably had their bad run and now set for three straight wins. And we still have to play free scoring Cambridge. IMO we cannot do this. |

| Yes, well done to Adams. The reason seems obvious to me. Hiram Boateng has now fully got his feet back under the table and it's beginning to seem just like the start of the season with Carey more free and confident to do his stuff and Jervis getting back on it. All of a sudden [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. Some team rhythms just can't take the loss of one pivotal player. Some guys just add that balance to allow others to play. I suppose if some Brentites were picky, they could say Adams should have started Boateng as soon as he returned on loan rather than the substitute appearances, but due regard has to be given to the full time playing staff on the books, so well done for that too Del boy, and well done for persisting with Palace. I'm very happy for the guy this morning. He must have felt it was all caving in after the Exeter result, but he insisted the team were on track. |

| I think the low point for Derek (and me) was after the ridiculous defeat to the wombles, he did say that getting the third place automatic was unlikely then, now look at the table. Think most of the realists on here can see he is a manager with one hand tied behind his back by you know who. So yep well done everyone for the result last night. COYG |

| Agree with all that and what really frustrates me at the moment with Argyle is the emergence of the superfans and with Ian nool in particular who will use any mechanism in his possession, which unforch includes the main fans forum, to deflect any criticism away from his Lord and master Brent. Last year we saw Sheridan undermined and sacrificed to protect Brents underfunded champaign and this year we were close to seeing the same happen to Adams. If we lose Adams Argyle could well be a league 2 club for the foreseeable future. I would love to see the forum that Nool bought slip further from his grip in 2017 it has started and when he sees the future it will be hilarious to behold, go sheep. |

Nobody any longer can take Porksters Forum seriously when you consider that the Posters number in total Coach Budgie, Biggles, The Xthrobber along with Noolies 47 Multis and a French Letter. |

| My only criticism of Adams is, for someone whose ethos seems to be very much about calling a spade a spade, he tried to dress up some truly awful performances earlier in the season as something they were clearly not. I can understand protecting his players and not publicly being critical, but some of his post match comments were jaw-droppingly unrealistic.
That said, if there is one thing Brent deserves a smidgen of credit for, it's his playing a part in the recruitment of both Shez & Del. |

| No the whole and only point of this thread was to point out that Adams has had success DESPITE being handicapped by Brent's mini budget. |

Trying not to be picky here, but he'll be successful if we're promoted this season and until that happens he's had a fecking good season so far. |

We've won them both. If you look at results of the games he's started before he got injured (which was all of them up to that point) against the games he didn't start against the games he's started since his return you'd probably conclude that he must be Lionel Messi. He really has made that much difference to our results. It's astonishing. |

| And how many times were we told that relying on our paper thin squad rotation was more important than one player returning? |
